This has sneaked up on me, two weeks from today. Still haven't bought a wristband yet. If anybody has or knows someone trying to get rid of one - shoot me a message. Still feel confident prices will drop on Stubhub a few days beforehand.
Just noticed Cinco de Mayo is on the Saturday of the fest. A boozy mexican lunch before going in for Bully would be ideal.
In addition to Cinco de Mayo, Saturday is also Kentucky Derby day, making it the ultimate degenerate drinking, gambling and music appreciation day.
Let us not forget May the 4th be with you on Friday. Geeks unite and freak out! Maybe Jack can give us a little Imperial March.

Minero in Ponce City Market and La Fonda on Ponce are both close and tasty. Mi Barrio in Grant Park if you want something more authentic.
I’ve got a ticket for sale, $200. It’s what it cost my friend and I’m just selling it for him. Lmk if one of y’all wants it. Peppers has first dibs if he still needs one
I ended up going through with it and just got my Shaky Knees tattoo a couple days ago, so pumped I got a group of 6-7 people going with me too. Can’t wait, hope to run into some of you there!
FYI, your way-too-early weather forecast (per weather.com, which has like a 10% accuracy rate): For all three days - Upper 70s/lower 80s for highs, upper 50s for lows, a very slight chance of rain/thunderstorms.
I'm leaning to Japandroids or Melvins if anything. seems to be a good mix of cheap/close to where we're staying. Melvins is going to be a tough sell to the lady though, so we'll see.

Anyone seen Byrne on this tour? He's one of the acts I'm most excited for but the clips i've seen from Coachella don't excite me. I'm sure it will be great probably just doesn't translate to video well. Seems a little empty maybe.

For those that have been to this fest, what can I expect crowd-wise? For example, if I want a decent view for a headliner, do I need to camp out for a few of the previous sets?

I have and I thought it was amazing. I was entranced.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

No, you don't need to.
hey I’ve only went last year and had a blast, definitely agree you don’t have to camp out at all to get a good spot either, comfortable crowd size. Had a question for you or anyone else that would like to answer, don’t know how many years you went before, but how’s Central Park compared to Centennial Park? Like one better than the other?

It's been in a different location almost every year. I would aay Central Park was the unanimous favorite. I'm definitely happy to be back in that location.
