A thought I had at the fest is that Nate Ratliff is just as much of a cultural appropriation as Post Malone and he doesn't get any shit for it.
He’s also way less popular tho, and less popular than contemporary black artists making similar music (Brittany Howard, Leon Bridges). Not that I want to defend the dude, but it’s different.
I don’t know if he performed with them but I asked my girlfriend and my friend who saw the kid and they said they saw Charlie Heaton. He was standing right behind us and they just thought it was someone that looked like him. Until one of our other friends saw a tweet that he was there to support Steve in Post Animal, so I guess he did play with them. Apparently Winona Ryder was there too but I didn’t see her.

The other day Shaky posted who we wanted to see at Shaky next year and I just wanted to stop in and say that I see that my comment of suggested artists made it to the top with the most likes. Woo! But I also wanted to come here and say there are an ungodly amount of people asking for Greta Van Fleet again. Even though I enjoy them and their set. I don’t think they should be back until they release another album. Also a bunch of people liked a comment saying bring back Greta Van Fleet and let them headline this time. And I just needed to come here and vent to people who understand how absurd that is. Also if you guys want, feel free to follow me on insta if you see that comment, I post pictures of different crystals from my gem collection every day along with videos of live music from fests and me trying to do my best at skating.

Nice, I didn’t know that but still too soon for them to be back I feel. I’m sure they’ll be back at Shaky another year, they seem to enjoy bringing back artist who’ve played before.
