I got one of the live nation festival passes - and because I am a U2 fan consider Friday at Roo to be the best fest day of the year - I was not planning to try for it - but now I am - here is what I wrote to my buddy after getting the pass
Bonnarroo seems doable Fly Southwest out of Philly Friday morning. Slight problem is that it's a 6 AM flight. That's pretty tough. However if i get past that i arrive in Tennessee at 7 rent-A-Car and drive to Bonnaroo. I think my pass actually includes camping so I could just sleep in the car. Do all day Friday which for me would start at 3:45 for me and go till 3 in the morning (lets do this Big Gigantic). Sleep in my car. Stick around the next day long enough to see the front bottoms. Drive back to the airport and get a 730 flight that arrives in Philly at 10:30. Sleep overnight in Philly and then go with you to the BB&T center to see the killers the next day.
Help me out
Is this doable? What if anything do I need to know? Can I get in and out of the campgrounds on time with that schedule? It all check out via google maps but I have no idea.
This could be glorious, or a glorious disaster - any help is appreciated
Oh - and I am just throwing this out there - anyone that has a place for me to sleep on Friday night - well the Karma gods will surely reward you - or I will if you ever come my way. And since I will be going to a bunch of fests this year - some chance I would have accommodations for you

I think your departure schedule is good. Front Bottoms wrap at 3:45pm, budget one hour to leave centeroo and get back to your car (absolute worst case camping spot assumption), so you get to your car at 4:45pm, out of the campgrounds by 5:15pm, one hour to Nashville airport puts you arriving at the airport at 6:15pm, enough time to get through security for your 7:30pm flight. Someone please correct me if you think my math is wrong.
My concern is that sleeping in your car will be awful. Even with doors open it will be an oven in there, and you can't run the car while you sleep because you'll be pumping car exhaust into somebody's campsite.
To me, if I was a huge U2 fan and just really wanted to catch that day, I'd fly in Friday morning as you are doing, do the festival Friday, then after U2 (or after LN or whatever) drive to Nashville and get a cheap airport hotel room, or just go sleep at the airport, then fly out the next morning/afternoon, rather than trying to do any of Saturday. This of course would require you to stay sober on Friday.
But honestly it sounds like a lot of time and money for not a lot of festival. If you are going to get on a plane you might as well stay for the whole fest.
Since you wouldnt be arriving until Friday, it may not be an issue but often the way the cars and tents are setup in the campsite your vehicle could be blocked in, and if you are trying to leave in the afternoon saturday there may not be camping neighbors nearby to move their shiz out of the way.
I would find someone who will let you camp with them/go to the tent only area. That way you can park your car in day parking and it will be much, much easier to get into and out of the festival grounds. and sleeping in your car would be absolutely awful.
If you are a big U2 fan and really want to see them at bonnaroo, I would just commit to bonnaroo. It sounds like you will be exhausted and dealing with a lot of logitstics and timing issues to get back to philly for the killers.

I'm fairly positive that I read on livenation's pass deal that it does not include any camping passes for Roo or any camping fest. I would check on that before you assume.
I concur with the car deal- too hot. Just pass out in the movie/comedy tent or under a tree somewhere. Or make a friend.
FYI- there will be no cheap hotels in Nashville that weekend- CMA fest, Stanley Cup playoffs.

I have no interest in the Thursday and Sunday lineup but Friday and Saturday are magnificent. For me
I think I'm coming to the sad realization that this might not be doable there simply no collection of affordable flights at the right time left anymore
It's an easy drive to both the Philly and Baltimore airports. But there's no collection of flights that work and make sense price wise.

Oh well. Next one to crack. Gov ball
I know it's a bummer, but I think you are making the right decision. Have fun at Gov Ball, we have a thread here for Gov Ball if you have any questions.
Oh - I know Gov ball - I survived the storm in 2013 and the 2016 disaster and day 3 cancellation - the rest of you should just cancel now since I am bringing my good luck with me
