Not sure if there is a thread like this already, but we might as well start fresh. I know there are a lot of other musicians here, but rarely share. This is a safe haven and place to get real praise/criticism, but more importantly, another outlet to be heard (I also did not want clog up other threads). Be brave, share/listen.
Some of the feedback I've received by members here has already been valuable. Comments on transitions, instrumentation, or simply sucking are welcome. Sound quality is not the greatest, but it's a start and gives you an idea of what I'm aiming for.

idk what audience you're going for but im a college student who was listening to barry white while stoned a few minutes ago and just clicked on your first song and it was honestly a pretty wild experience.

Sounds like I caught you at the right time. I will take wild experience. Thanks for the listen.

Actually, I dig it. I can't help but think about how awesome it would be if the second track was sped up just a touch with rap on top. Maybe a lovely voice to chime in around the minute mark and then back at it with more flow. It would be an excellent mix tape beat. Nice work.

I am in what you would call a "let's drink beer in the garage" band. we record on a 16 track mixer that goes straight to CD, so there isn't much post-production available. most of the recordings actually sound like shiz, because recording in a garage with a single drum condenser mic you get some really, really muddy tracks. anyway, this one turned out sounding ok. a little one-take improv we called our Neil Young Jam. Our drummer wasn't there this practice, so one of the guitarists girlfriends sat in at the kit.
giving this a spin now...some very cool things happening throughout. getting an aphex vibe (syro era) every now and again, especially on seasons. digging it nicely done with the album artwork as well

Thanks for the feedback! I have more on my Soundcloud. Currently working on more stuff at the moment.
Your single sounds good man. What are you playing here?

I'll check out your SoundCloud - saw the link to the LCD mash up that was recently posted. Will give that a listen.
Thanks for listening to our track. I play bass and contribute backing vocals.
when I was in college I was the bass player in a band that played cover songs at frat parties. we made pretty good money doing that, enough that we actually recorded an album after we finished finals in December of our sophomore year. We burned it to 1000 CDRs, sold most of them to drunks at other frat parties, and never got bigger than the SEC. 11 years later, here it is:
I'm glad you put this in here because I study to house music. I really like that shimmering synth around 5:30 and the perc at around 6:00 in. The whole thing builds really well. I don't know much about house production but I think the hihats are a little too harsh.
I really like the weird production choices and the vocal performance, but if you were to compress the vocals to make them more level throughout the song, it'd do wonders. That drum change in 1:40 is great too, reminds me of the bridge in 15 Step.

I was listening to 15 Step A TON when I recorded this so that doesn’t surprise me. Thanks! And yeah I will probably mix the vocals better when the album is finished
