This lineup is amazing as always. Wish that it'd be closer to the city.
If I'm looking at an 8 hour drive, certainly you can look at a 2 hour train ride plus, I think Amtrak is 100% refundable (but I'd check that out. It's been years since I've gone the train route).
I think I'm in for this. It's the weekend after Hopscotch which would be 7 days of fucked-upness in my world. I'll know tonight after the Boss gets home and gives me a thumbs up or stares at me till I say "that's a silly idea, isn't it".

I'm fine with 2 hour ride, but I'm not a huge fan of camping. Maybe I'll do a day of this though. Are you considering attending?

The more I looked at attending this over the years, camping is the cheapest option, imo. They picked a good one though:
Camping includes: – Restrooms, showers and electricity hookups at campground – Scheduled shuttles to/from the venue and after parties
If we're talking camping at a huge festival for three days, I totally understand and agree. If you're talking hating camping in general, I understand. It just makes sense with the shuttle service.
Just edited that last post to say I'm pretty sure I am. Zola Jesus, Yellow Eyes, and Moor Mother are musts for me. The rest could elevate Hopscotch conflicts. I've heard nothing but good things about the venue, too.

It's camping in general I don't like much. But maybe I can do an Airbnb around the area if I end up going the whole weekend.
Don't know Yellow Eyes, but I trust your taste and will check them soon.
So apparently slightly inebriated GL decided he really wanted to go to this last night. I have a ticket in my inbox and have to figure out how to tell Mrs. GL I'm going. Go figure.
Fred , I have a huge tent if you decided you want to go but don't have the equipment.

Thank you for the offer! I don't have any equipment, and will definitely let you know once I get a little intoxicated and end up buying a ticket one of these nights.

I'm cooking dinner but I'll edit this later tonight.
Morgan Parker is a poet, if that's your thing. It's the Vivian Goldman that I'm excited about. She's a journalist that used to be in The Flying Lizards waaaay back in the day.
This will give you a good representation of how they sounded.

I double checked and then saw her name on Readings line-up. I've been forcing myself to like poetry, but haven't been successful so far.
They sound very weird/experimental/avant-garde etc, so she seems like a perfect fit for this fest.
