June 24-25 in Chicago; hadn't seen a thread for it yet...
I'm strongly considering a day pass on Sunday considering they have a stage running BJ the Chicago Kid > Mutemath > Thundercat > Todd Terje > Flying Lotus. Sounds like a dam fine day of music, for my tastes anyway! Anybody have any prior experience or advice on this fest?
I read complaints about it being hard to get to, but I didn't think that was the case last year on the day I went. They had a little bus to take you and from the beach that was free, and I heard the uber/lyft situation was a clusterfuck last year so I'm glad I didn't even try it. The dance tent and one of the stages is on sand, so that can get annoying for some people if they're not prepared. Water is easy to find, and never really long lines for it. The restrooms were not in a good location, and there were often long lines if you didn't know that there were more in the back that you could go to. The food is aight, no better/worse than Lolla or Pitchfork. The stage you're talking about is on grass. There's also only shade at the dance tent, and really there aren't a lot of shade options in the venue itself. The view of downtown from the beach is pretty cool though, especially at sunset. I'd go if Todd Terje and Cut Copy weren't conflicting, especially since tickets aren't too expensive.
Well looks like I'm actually going to this lol, my girlfriend and I both won single day tickets for Sunday. Guessing it didn't sell well? I'm still pissed about Cut Copy vs Todd Terje.

Im trying like hell to get any of my regular concert crew to go Sunday, but no takers thus far. I guess prices go up in a few days, so racing against the clock
