Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I've had one legitimate chance to see her here in Cincinnati and I had to miss it. Have always hoped my first time seeing her would be a roo set.
Grimes at Roo would be soooo great. I've always wondered what happened with her 2016 booking, she was in that lineup release video but then removed. I wonder if she was supposed to be booked but then dropped at the last second or something. Hoping she comes in 2018 for sure!
RL Grime was playing. I think it was just an intern fuck up or something. That was the year they accidentally released the lineup on the app too.

The video said Grimes and RL Grime in separate slides though, so I think it may have been something else. If I'm not mistaken, 2016 was the year Grimes opened for Lana Del Rey on part of her summer tour, which may have had something to do with her being unavailable for Bonnaroo. Martin Garrix pulled out right before the lineup release last year too, so I guess sometimes stuff just doesn't work out at the last minute.
Edit- 2015 was when Grimes opened for Lana, I had to look back at my ticket stubs to check haha. Maybe it was just an error, we will probably never know
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Unless there's something else I haven't seen related to Grimes, I think a Grimes late night set is still possible. She isn't a rare artist to book and her music still appeals to Bonnaroo's demographic.

Yeah it's definitely possible she ends up as one of Roo's 5 or 6 really good bookings

Definitely not impossible she gets booked, but we all know she’d end up at 4pm on Which.

That would completely kill her show. I would usually argue that this wouldn't happen, but ever since they put Francis and the Lights and The Front Bottoms early in the afternoon on the What Stage I just don't know anymore.

I saw Grimes at a 5pm set time once and it was still great. It would’ve been much better at night though. Also, when she opened for Lana, I imagine all her sets would’ve been in daylight since they played mostly amphitheaters.

I'm just thinking with the Tennessee heat it would be even worse, especially on the Which Stage.

I’ve never really had this issue. If it’s a good show, then I don’t really focus on the heat. But there are really only ever like 6-7 shows a day in peak heat with no shade.

I saw grimes at like 2 or 3 pm at made in America a few years ago and she was still a great great time. It just happens that everyone is better in the night
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
MGMT Electric Guest Unknown Mortal Orchestra Yellow Days King Krule Sir Sly Dope Lemon Leisure
Hoping for these in the undercard, been listening to them all a lot as of recently. Dope Lemon just seems like a perfect Thursday band. Yellow Days and Leisure I could see on Thursday too.

The only time I saw Grimes was opening for Lana and I would love a chance to see her again in a different setting. It was still fun but 85% of the people there either didn't know who she was or didn't care and talked through her set and made it pretty difficult to hear or fully enjoy.
