can't think of anything weirder than for a festival located in Spain to hype the reunion of a band with a following in Spain, makes zero sense to me but im not a numbers guy
The youtube profile is named "Oigos Visiones" which is the name of an agency that represents one of the members of Antonia Font so it definitely seems like it has do with them. It would be weird if they had a countdown that announced a reunion for a band that doesn't seem to have much of a following outside of spain wouldn't it?

Yeah. It is kind of weird to create a website with a countdown to hype up an act for you fest without much international exposure when your festival has an international draw. It doesn't even look like they were that big in Spain.

Doesn't take much expertise to google what kind of venues they played when they were together.

my balls are just as big in Spain as they are here
Primavera just does whatever they want, thats why they're one of the best. Doesnt matter if that band is popular or not, some people at primavera just like them or are connected.
"it should be clarified that the weekend lineups will be completely different from one another, except for some prominent artists who will play at both. We are proud to confirm that most of the artists of the 2021 edition will remain at the festival and will be joined by dozens and dozens of new names that will, as always, reflect the essence of contemporary music."

thats insanely impressive. Honestly, this is something that, if you can swing it, is perfect for foreigners, especially Americans. First weekend in Barcelona, maybe go to Madrid/Paris/Valencia during the week, then come back for weekend 2 and fly home after

So should I do both weekends of this or second weekend + Sonar? Decisions decisions..
just judging the actual festivals, primavera is much better than sonar, obviously it depends on the lineups though.
compared to all US festival lineups released, they both look much better lol. I think you've been to both, putting the lineups aside, which one do you think is better in terms of organization etc?

primavera imo. better location and it was kinda annoying that the daytime part of sonar and the night part are in different spots in the city and we had to take a taxi between the locations but the daytime headliners and night time headliners ended and started at the exact same time I think.
on the other hand i could see it being cooler to be able to experience two completely different festivals in two weeks

What makes you say this? I haven't done either in a number of years but I had great experiences at both and wouldn't really consider one much better than the other.

real answer just do all three
Another thing to consider with Sonar is there are a ton of other parties and events happening in the city during the festival and in the days leading up to it. That can definitely add to the appeal but can also induce a good amount of FOMO.

yeah it would actually be insane to do all three because there would still be amazing shows happening the week between prima and sonar too
