In that Gabi interview from a month ago he said Sufjan is a peculiar artist that you cant convince to play with money so doesn't sound exactly like someone he had booked for this year.
Seems that theyre going to announce 10 acts a day except on the weekends until the full line up is out. No social media posts either, you have to listen to the radio primavera show and thats the only source of info.

Going to the Porto edition makes this release format both exciting and kinda pointless still. Can’t really put stock in any name until Porto itself is announced

Love these guys forever because they're the best bookers in the business, but damn, straying from a lineup roll-out wildly within 4 days when the lineup is somewhere between 95% and 100% booked is pretty "Primavera Sound rollout" on the nose.
Lol @ you guys. They've had years (2018 for example with that little western video or last year with NN, they hold this party with a few Spanish names and then dropped the whole thing all at once aswell IIRC) where they just announced everything all at once, you're acting like they're like these announcements happen every single time with them. I kinda like the idea of revealing artists in a radioshow or during something live where before they get announced, they play a song from them to get into the band/artist that is about the get announced.

they’ve basically lied and misdirected every year since I’ve been following this festival. Gabi said yesterday the lineup won’t come out till after Christmas now but that basically means nothing since he lies about everything. Still won’t be surprised if it comes next week.

You're talking about checking up on every agent and seeing that everything is set for that act to be announced (not even taking timezones into account) and if it's okay to be announced in the first place. Stick with what youre doing, or dont do it at all. Theres no need for window dressing, and they essentially are taking another loan out with the audiences trust. They feel they can do whatever the hell they want and the people interested wont give a shit, but they do if they dont deliver. So yeah, stop fucking lying and sort your shit out. Besides, at the rate all the other festivals around them are announcing and adding talent, people will just pick something else over primavera cause they dont wanna deal with this kind of nonsense.
