It's an amazing lineup of course, but for some reason, I don't feel sad missing out this year. Having said that, here's what I'd see (excluding the names that are on Coachella):
Thu: Massive Attack, Pavement, Kim Gordon, Einstürzende Neubauten, AEAEA, Lingua Ignota, Otoboke Beaver, Call Super b2b Shanti Celeste, Park Hye Jin, 33EMYBW
Fri: Jeff Mills, Little Simz, Special Request, Mica Levi, Shellac, Arthur Verocai, Aurora Halal, Jessica Pratt
This lineup is amazing, so much to enjoy. It's deep. It's missing that extra pow at the very top that made 2016 the best ever but there's very little you could complain about. To everyone who's going, especially for the first time, you'll enjoy yourself immensely! I can smell the sea and tapas and paella, and I can feel Mordor on my feet. What a time. Maybe I'll make it back some day. Doing Coachella at least, but man these 2 would be quite the complement to each other much like 2016 was
But what does this mean for Prima LA? I'm really hoping they can bring over something like Massive Attack/the National/Iggy/Kacey/Jesus and Mary Chain/Chromatics. Then if they somehow add NIN for this year? Hoooey there goes my remaining bucket list aside from the brothers and the robots. Get down!
...Also I just spent 30 minutes traveling Google Maps to find the badass tapas market right by the picasso museum to recommend (Mercat Princesa), only to find out it closed last year. Bummer. That was my favourite place I visited back in 16
fuck it, this fest was amazing last year and with low flight prices right now its cheaper than east coast city fests. hoping iberian works out better than norwegian did last year.
What is the sellout forecast for this? Do I have time to wait on a few more line ups to make me decision?
you have plenty of time, believe it rarely sells out. If money is a factor better to do it sooner, noticed a couple places ive stayed at before are booked up, flight prices skyrocket etc.

Ah. Important info as well. I'm torn between this and Mad Cool. Correct me if In wrong but I feel like this is ran much more smoothly?

I’ve never been to Mad Cool, but regardless of lineup there is 0% chance you will ever regret going to Primavera.
