I'm not too quacked about The Smile not being there during weekend 1 because I more than likely can catch them stateside in the fall, presumably since the email says more dates forthcoming.
However, I would like a nice Brockhampton replacement simply because I'm greedy.
Weekend 1 has a massive amount of very rare/legendary acts that weekend 2 largely doesn't have.
read my above post
My point was just that weekend 1 was already really stacked and didn't really need additions. Pavement, DJ Shadow, Dinosaur jr Yo La Tengo, Autechre, Jeff Mills, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Bauhaus, Jawbox, Einsturzende Neubauten, The Caretaker, & Squarepusher among others are just big time rare fest gets that distinguish it from weekend 2. I'd like a nice Brockhampton replacement too, but it's still the stronger weekend regardless. They're different vibes though. Weekend 1 is more of the 80s/90s acts, while Weekend 2 is packed with super relevant artists who've dropped great albums in recent years.
FKA twigs as a replacement and everything is right in the world.
Love BH but this would be a MASSIVE upgrade. Pls Prima team make it happen
I wish they would've thrown whatever bag they had to at Brockhampton to stay on their lineup and make it their final show. That'd be bigger than just about any replacement possible.

I think weekend 2 is better, but the real answer is to just do both.

W1 and 2 are pretty equal for me but if I could only do one id do w1 for sure. mostly because I’m already seeing Lorde, Dua Lipa, and Megan Thee Stallion in the states

I agree. You won't find better value in fests globally anywhere than doing two weekends here. Unless work/life scheduling prevents it, if you're already paying for the flights it just makes the most sense to do both weekends + La Ciutat. You get 11 days of great shows, and the price comes out to be about the same as doing Bonnaroo twice would (at least for me).
Both are great but if you're into electronic music -especially into what's going on right now- W2 is the only possible choice. Avery, Seinfeld, Fred again, AceMoma x2, Courtesy, Craig Richards, Pastis, Logic1000, Sherelle and Special Request playing the very same day makes it instantly better than most of the electronic bill you can find in any line-up.
Do we think John Talabot is playing live during w2? I just assumed it was a dj set but his la ciutat show is listed as a DJ set and his W2 set doesn't say DJ. I don't think he has played live in quite some time.

10 years since he played live at Primavera and I think he continued to do so one more year. I don't think there's a chance he's doing anything other than djing but I also heard something about him finishing his new album at the end of last year but we should have known by now if he was slated to play live as we did with Daniel Avery or Seinfeld before they announced their live tours or even their new albums.

Whenever I see John Talabot on a lineup these days I just assume it is a DJ set. I just think it's strange that one of the sets is specified DJ and the other isn't.

Booked our flights today! Was able to use some leftover United credits towards them too. It's starting to feel real.
this is my first ever solo trip and i am so exhilarated, excited and anxious at the same time. hope to meet a bunch of inforooers there
I've done Bonnaroo solo, and it was fine, but this will be first international trip on top of being solo. The anxiety is definitely starting to peak, but so is the excitement.
hell yea, solo international travel is the best. can be tough to force myself to recharge when there's many awesome things to do. definitely down to meet up, i think it was tЯist♡n that my insanely drunk ass ran into in 19.
