Anyone started listening in already and trying to figure out what they wanna see? Any recommends?
i have a pretty good idea of who i want to see already as far as bigger acts go but some deeper undercard acts I’d like to see are Sad Night Dynamite, the Caretaker, Lingua Ignota, Prospa and TOPS. Also surprised at how low acts like Rina Sawayama, Faye Webster and Japanese Breakfast are billed

I'm also procrastinating really hard on listening to the undercard, it just badly disrupts my usual plan of listening to almost exclusively new music releases. Going to have to listen to Primavera artists almost exclusively for the next two months, trying to get through one day a week.
From what I have discovered, here are some recs: - 33EMYBW & Pelada (Thursay W1), and Gabber Modus Operandi & Slikback (Thursday W2) are insanely high energy electronic acts that have a real punk rock feel to them that I'd love to catch - Lightning Bolt (Friday W1): noise rock icons, might be the most chaotic show of the weekend - Dreamcatcher (Saturday W1): really creative k-pop group with some rock, metal, & dance influences. I will be very sad if they conflict with Bauhaus or Nick Cave, I'd love it if they got a 3 am slot somewhere. - Perfume (Thursday W2) are J-Pop legends who make extremely creative and danceable pop music, it's a can't miss for me. - Sofia Kourtesis (Thursday W2): up and coming producer with some great tracks so far
What's 'punk rock' about Gabber Modus Operandi and Slikback, cause I don't hear that at all. Forgot that Sofia Kourtosis and Perfume are on this wtf.
Prospa also a must for me, but I knew them already.
Just super fast paced music with lots of energy ala punk or even metal. The two members of GMO were both previously involved in the punk scene (one a DJ for punk shows, the other was in a punk band and also a black metal band). Definitely dripping with hardcore influence, I think the song Balap Liar is a good example. Slikback may be slightly mischaracterized with punk, it's more of an industrial influence.

Throwing this out there again, but Oranssi Pazuzu are a must see for anyone who's in to heavier music. Some fantastic Pyschedelic Black Metal from Finland.
