Primavera's instagram comment seems to indicate this is a completely out of the blue event and they had no prior knowledge. Not great for where we stand regarding a replacement
at least they didnt completely rule it out, but I hear ya. not looking good

I dont know why we're so worried about this. since the lineup came out a year ago we've lost Brockhampton and C Tangana and added The Smile, Phoenix, Ride, etc. Every year I've gone to this someone big dropped out within like a week of the festival and they replaced them so with two months to go I dont think it's a big issue.
yea personally i’m fine if they dont get a replacement. this will already be conflict central, it would be nice if they did but its already stacked to the nth degree lmao

Just to be clear I'm not worried. Lineup is stacked and I'm good either way.
Man, I thought messageboards were dead. I'm so happy this still exists, haha!
I'm going solo weekend 1. Went back in 2016. Heartbroken about MA but it is what it is, too far invested to call it off at this point but my pal bailed.

Massive Attack dropping is pretty brutal. Most-anticipated headliner and the only thing I was set on seeing both weekends. Great lineup but I'm starting to feel a little like it's not worth the trouble. I honestly am not crazy about the other headliners as a whole.

I know. Coming from the states not for massive attack but it was certainly a factor in buying my ticket. I hope they replace but their wording was bleak. Unless they’re just trying to stay quiet until they’re ready to announce.

In the same boat as both of you. 95% sure I'm still going to attend though

I read those midcards over a few times and felt better. That's where these lineups shine. And the HLs aren't bad by any means. They're great. I'd like to see all of them. Just none of them are must-see if something like Autechre or Daniel Avery is at the same time.

Have you been to Barcelona before?
Nope. Never made it outside of the US, unfortunately.

Screw the lineup then, Spain is the shit. Ill probably spend a night or two in San Sebastian or another city if you or anyone else wants to expand beyond Barcelona.

During the week?
ya need need to look into the train schedules more but more but the smaller cities in Spain are sooooo good.

Yeah I felt the same way on Friday and was legitimately considering if I still wanted to go, but then I remembered how insanely stacked the undercard is and that's it's in Barcelona and calmed down. I probably wasn't going to see Massive Attack weekend 1 anyways with how stacked that day is. And it's not like it would've been my last ever chance to see them, odds are when they're healthy again they'll be booked for Primavera again and hit some big cities in the US on a tour.

You done San Sebastian before? Can’t recommend it enough assuming you like to eat.
