Our airbnb host scammed is basically even though every step was taken correctly from both parties for it to be safe. So we're looking at accomodations and contacting airbnb what they can do for us. This is completely fucked.

No, like. The host confirmed the date of check in, send us a photo in advance of where to wait and now the last few days / last week there was no contact anymore. Guess the dude pulled out when he got the payment of our money.
