i moved to the tyler crowd right after feel good. have found the best little tidbit if youre alone is to just head to the other crowd like 3 songs before that act ends
I wanted to leave Gorillaz for Squarepusher but I kept looking back at the huge masses of people behind me trying to get a better view and it just seemed like I'd be pushing against the crowd at that point and should wait to leave with the masses. I even made sure to leave from the non-Tyler side. Maybe should have tried harder though haha
yeah I gave up on squarepusher, took me 20 minutes to get out of Mordor and by the time I would have gotten to bits squarepusher would have maybe 20 minutes left. I was also at the very front for gorillaz and needed a rest anyways
The CDC site doesn’t seem to specify but do you not need a specific type of test for reentry?
rapid antigen tests work fine, but every time we asked for one in France they gave us PCR
if anyone has any questions about my positive result/quarantine/how I got back shoot me a DM, it was a pretty tedious process but easier than what my anxiety was making it out to be

yeah same. Honestly it's fine because Shame and my dinner/sit were great after standing at Mordor for a while, and it pushed me to see Terrence Dixon who blew my goddang mind, whereas I probably would have otherwise gone for Disclosure after Squarepusher

I realize this isn’t probably the best year to answer this, but conceivably you could do one or two acts in one venue and go to another for a few more?
Like tonight I’d wanna see King Hannah at La 2 and hoof it over to Razzmatazz for Slowdive.
I guess to many variables like distance and capacity?

Don't bother, there's a massive line at Razz and you likely won't get in.
Edit: oh you're not actually here, you're asking hypothetically. Well there ya go

I feel like I was answering myself while typing that out. For a bit they had the Ciutat in parks and the Arc till the moved indoors. It obviously wasn’t as big but easier to navigate. Trying to club hop there would just be silly. Make a decision and stick with it.

Sitting outside at the Dice ticket area waiting for my mate at KGLW watching people rage at the security guard who are VIP and or Weekend1/2 without dice tix who have been turned away. Really crazy lack of organizing here.
With midterms creeping up, I fully expect Dems to have their “Mission Accomplished” moment and declare the COVID threat over (not that it is) and remove that negative test thing. It just sucks it hasn’t happened by now and people traveling abroad are caught in this.
With as packed as the park looked, I’m honestly not too too surprised. I geeked out looking at that lineup but then realized they were rolling tickets over from the past two years AND then selling tickets on top of that. Everything was gonna get fucked up. The festival proper and the Ciutat shows. I passed on that alone. They should have capped it lower, imo. The fact that people are still dealing with this on top of that, is bullshit.
I haven’t seen any of you say you got shut out of venues, so congrats on that.
The thing is Biden declared Mission Accomplished last summer and then Delta Hit. This current restriction doesn't make sense in any way based on the other Covid polices in our country. All it's doing is making things much more difficult for people who probably more likely to vote Democratic. So it's even more dumb which makes sense for the current Democratic party.
Got basically told to fuck off at Laut. "No ones entering anymore, you're not allowed". Well, why? Is it full? "No, you're just not allowed in anymore". Okay but like, what if people get out? Are people getting in? "Nope".
I thought Laut was some sort of nightclub, not grandma's teahouse jfc.

Are they just using venue staff for these gigs? Because if so, I'm sure they're all annoyed by the amount of lines to manage and various ticket entry options compared to normal shows and they ain't getting paid any extra. Prima should have hired more staff to help.

Slowdive were fantastic and beautifully loud but the Gizz blew my mind and stole my heart. Jammed 30 min past their schedule end time (didn’t affect Slowdive at all) and the band was just having a total blast along with the crowd. My eight or ninth time seeing them and might have been my favorite so far.

There was no one on the street tbh, so wasn't the case much about to many people.
Two were wearing yellow fluo vests, the other one wore a bordeaux vest - clearly a private security guard. Those were also at Apolo, and seen them at Razz aswell.
Hope to make it into Razz 2 tomorrow after Khruangbin with my W1+2 around twelve. Hope to catch Hannah Diamond, but more realistically might be getting inside when Cook comes on. Hope they don't tell us to fuck off.
