Does the amount of writers/producers on a track make me enjoy it less? No.
With an act, for example Beyonce, use co-writers it doesn't bother me because her voice is what sells the track and her artistic vision makes the albums cohesive. If you're a rapper I think you should be held to a diff standard. You're lyrics are what sells the track, if she's not even writing her own bars what is she contributing?

What does it matter? I honestly don’t care what she contributes if the tracks are good.
Is it really that great? I haven' listened or even seen anything about it yet
The amount of co-writers on each track is pretty crazy. 5-6 writers per track and 1-2 producers per track...serious question, is she actually writing any of this material or is she just the vehicle for it?
Where did you find the writers? That's pretty standard for pop/rap music.
How many rappers have used ghost writers? How many pop musicians just sing the album? How many Kanye’s does it take to finish an album in Wyoming?
I’ve never really listened to Cardi B, but give her a break.
She's an okay rapper, but it's style over substance and bling over message - a Migos era rapper. But the Three 6/Gangsta Boo remake she released the other day was unhateable.

^^ Yep that is exactly why I was wondering. Weeknd and Cardi are the two most talked about artists these past few weeks. Wondering if that's causing a surge in ticket sales.

I have no doubts you'll be able to get a $150 weekend wristband on CL or Stubhub the 2 weeks leading up. Never underestimate how little people want to be in the city in late July.
If Cardi B was the same day as The Weeknd then I would assume that day would be somewhat full (similar to Fri of last year). Sunday will likely we pretty empty.
To be fair, the “heat dome” in 2016 was the most oppressive heat I’ve ever felt at a festival. I got my only case of heat exhaustion I’ve ever experienced.

Oh the heat isn't terrible (last year was almost chilly). I'm just saying that at that time in summer a lot of NY'ers would rather spend their extra income at the beach. Always thought that was a main reason why this is pretty empty.

I don’t know that I agree. She’s far from the most socially conscious rapper out there but it’s not like she’s not saying anything. Being an empowered woman who owns the fuck out of her sexuality and loves herself and respects herself is some sort of statement is it not? For a pop rap album of bangers there’s a whole lot of character there
That’s all fair. And I don’t hate her, but to me a lot of the persona seems contrived. Doesn’t she even have a sometimes phony accent? Idk. I’m not chasing it but one of my young sista friends is pretty into the new shit.

It's been such a weird couple of years, weather-wise, for this festival. It's generally very hot and humid in late July, but the heat dome made it a lot worse than normal in 2016. Then, last year, we got an out-of-nowhere run of unseasonably cool weather over the weekend. It'll be interesting to see if this year settles into the "nasty heat and humidity, but not so much that it'll kill you" middle ground for which late July in NYC is typically known.
This isn’t a dick measuring contest. 2016 was historically oppressive.
Since you have larger balls than many of the guys on Inforoo, I'm assuming if it was, you win.
:cheer Katy:
On that note, I should probably say that I'm 75% sure I'm doing Panorama over Newport this year, just waiting on the full Newport lineup before making a final decision.

So Odesza will absolutely 100% be main stage with that production and those screens. And they can't do it during total daylight. So maybe it goes XX -> Odesza -> The Killers on the main? I think The XX are too big to play in the Pavillion in the Justice Spot.
I almost wish they moved The Killers to Saturday to give rock fans a reason to go that day. The xx - Odesza could headline Sunday on their own. The Killers are feel like unnecessary calories that day.

I saw ODESZA at Boston Calling 2016 when it wasn't fully dark yet, and it definitely didn't have the same impact. But frankly, the pre-headliner spot on the Panorama stage plays in the light too. So it's really the Pavilion or bust, in terms of the production.
