Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
What would you have done with all that extra time if you never joined this site?
When I was in college, my roommate and I worked on an early social networking site, partycampus.com. Facebook wasn't an open platform at the time and didn't have a way to create and promote events for your network, which was what we focused on. Sadly, instead of focusing on crushing Zuch in his infancy, I went to my first Bonnaroo which inevitably led me here.
What I'm saying is if it wasn't for you people I'd be a billionaire who was indirectly responsible for the Trump presidency.
I had Monday off so I whipped up a batch of the Kenji Lopez red sauce and made a vegetable lasagna with it with our reclaimed produce. I finally finished off the last of it this afternoon.
Apple pies are the most fun to make. I have one of those apple peeler/corer/slicers which are just fun to use, plus I enjoy arranging all the slices in the pie in whatever way I'm experimenting with. But I still haven't managed to come up with an apple pie method I like that yields a consistent outcome so I think my favorite to make and then eat is probably a blackberry with crumb top, which is super easy but always delicious.
What's the worst live music experience you've had?
Will the Democrats gain a majority in 2018?
What keeps you coming back to inforoo?
A friend of mine organized a trip to see Jimmy Buffett at Alpine for his birthday a few years ago. It was just awful, the whole lot scene is gross and rapey. Even Jackson Browne as the opener didn't help.
Maybe the House, but Dems aren't very good about voting in midterms so I'll believe it when I see it.
The main reason I like posting here is it's a good way to keep up with music news without having to read twitter. I'd do almost anything to avoid twitter.
Why did you change your nickname from 'Horn' to 'Delicious Meatball Sub'?
Who is your favorite Inforoo user that is not active anymore?
Spoon was actually the band that "changed my life." Someone gave me a burned copy of Kill the Moonlight (that was actually missing The Way We Get By) and I remember just being blown away both by how good it was and the realization that this whole alternate universe of music even existed. Neil Young, Radiohead, LCD and Kanye are probably my other most listened.
My friends and I have a gag about ordering meatball subs everywhere we go and it just makes me laugh.
Whoreshack was easily my favorite poster around here.
Pie crust is the one thing I can not make. Any secrets you can share?
Use one of the many recipes that call for either vodka or cider vinegar to be added in addition to water. That plus using a mix of butter and shortening for the fat makes the crust easier to work with and a little more forgiving. Also, don't skip the chilling in between steps.
PS, I have to admit I am glad partycampus didn’t work out. If it had I wouldn’t know Oscar, and he really is the best.
Oscar decided he needed to stop, sniff, and pee on every tree and garbage can for 5 blocks when I was walking him in the rain this morning and he's not on my good list right now.
Can honestly say I never had Rockits I'd say I'll try it my next trip down but I don't think I can make time with all the mothers bear's I'll be consuming.
