ugh this is hard to do without talking....
i didn't "save" zig and thats a pretty pointed way to phrase that. you, jaz, tainted could have pushed us to a four way, none of you did it, so potent pushed us even. I even offered my self up to be pushed in essentially, and the three of you sat back and let us go to a 2-way right off the bat.
FWIW, I moved yesterday specifically because I think going straight to a two-way runoff is dumb. I erroneously assumed that the rest of you would make the moves necessary to not let that happen. Then I slept til noon and went to work - and then opened the thread to find a different two-person runoff that's equally dumb. Going forward I think it could be important to note which votes moved off of ZIG. I generally don't think the Mafia are brazen enough to blatantly make saves of this caliber, but there's most likely at least some Mafia movement in the cluster of votes that took ZIG out of the runoff and put Fore. I feel like the way this runoff shaped up was either intentional or intentionally allowed by people sitting back.

this is exactly what I was saying with my last post. MD's self sacrificial move makes him the one that partook in the sliding around that I find the least suspicious.

wtf is going on here? Everyone has their excuse for not being available to fix this and get a fair runoff going, and we can't blame the two greenies for not knowing but seriously wtf guys.

I don’t think I can really call either Maddog or Potent pulling votes off me as “saving” me. I thought I was pretty clear in wanting a 4-person runoff, and I thought both Potent (dropping me from 4 to 3 votes) and Maddog (dropping me from 3 to 2 votes) made it pretty clear that they were getting me to 2 votes while also providing more options to get 4 total players to 2 votes.
Maddog even put himself into danger of going into the runoff by voting for himself instead of putting his “throwaway” vote on a different random person with no votes.
It’s understandable that people are looking at the players that were changing votes, however, I also think it’s instructive to also look at the players that had the time to help create a 4-way runoff but instead chose to remain.

This is to even it up and make Taint cast a vote that matters. I'm on record in this game at being upset at how D1 has rounded out. It is ridiculous that we went straight to a two person runoff. I've been noting those who tried to broaden the runoff, and those who didn't, and the reason for those that didn't. This has not been a good day for the town, I don't think.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
And do I at least get some rum to numb the pain of drowning in the middle of the fucking carribean?
The round ends at 2 so you can still talk as much as you want before that. You don’t get lynched/walk the plank until the round is over or everyone locks.
Also looking back at how we ended up with 2 instead of 4, I kind of wish LLL would have pushed someone else to 2 votes instead of 3 stacking Stevo. That made it necessary that we get two separate people to move to get two more into the run off, and it seemed like maybe everyone was playing chicken with coming off their votes.
Noting that no one voted at any point for Carini, Thor, and Tainted in D1R1
Also of note, Carini and Thor also both only voted once (initial votes) the entire round. LLL also voted only once the entire round, but she technically received a vote from Potent at the end of D1R1 so doesn’t 100% fit with the other two.
What an awful journey this has been. Not only am I being forced to walk the plank on my very first day as a pirate, but you all aren't even giving me the courtesy of a bottle of rum to float with for the next few days as I waste away in the middle of the fucking Carribean.
It's a damn shame pirates are illiterate and none of you can read... otherwise someone would've picked up on the fact that I literally did not know another pirate or how to plunder before today, and couldn't possibly be a mafia pirate. Surely the three of you who are trying to commandeer this piece of crap boat are laughing your asses off right now. Kudos to you three assholes for taking out possibly one of the two most obvious town pirates.
Rest assured that I will pull a Captain Jack Sparrow and be back in approximately 109 days.

There wasn't even a runoff when I checked in. You guys let ZIg set at 3 votes for 7 hours. And there were wonky ass votes going on. I voted to make sure that we at least had a run-off. Went to bed, went to work where I had meetings all day. More wonky ass voting. Check back in and not enough people moved around to make sure we had at least a 3 person run-off instead of just the two?
