Any reason? I tend to agree with LLL that we are best served focusing on one group of voters. I'm going to vote for one of the Steve voters that she mentioned. I wasn't sure which, but this vote with no explanation, and contrary to what I was thinking, is reason enough for me to vote Maddog to begin this round.
Potent > Maddog
I want to vote for one of the three fore voters who didn't move us to a four way (Jaz, Taint, Thor). Thor has been the most quiet about the scenario, so just wanted to see whats going on.
I really didn't follow LLL's logic on why she bumped to a 2-way, and I think her kind of "also maybe a fore voter" comes across as trying to push away from the fact that we had all the opportunity to get to a four way.
I think Jaz is also a little more pushy than normal. Wouldn't mind moving onto him if it helped with run off things.
It just seems silly to think we're going to get a ton of information on possible from like 6-7 posts of someones first game.
Steve superstacked on him, now he's dead. Fozzie initially bumped ZIG up to three, and then in the final round voted for Fore instead of Steve, now Fozzie's dead. Could be that Fozzie had ZIG's name, and then assumed that Steve wasn't Mafia because in that scenario Steve prob wouldn't have bumped ZIG up to four. And though I accept Maddog's reasoning for moving off of ZIG, it's still a little suspect to me. I'm not sold on ZIG being Mafia this early in the game, but there's enough there to warrant a stack, IMO.
this really makes unnerved about Jaz. I feel like I explained that move pretty well, it was about as town a move anyone could have made in that round. I put my own skin in the game, when I didn't need to, in the hopes that someone would right the ship. Fozzie and Steve are new, if they're both town (as it looks), their moves make a ton of sense, other "vets" letting us get to a 2-way, does not.
Me moving off of ZIG being a suspicious move means you are assuming, ZIG is mafia, I am mafia, Fozzie/Stevo were inspector, and I as mafia put myself in harms way unnecessarily when I could have easily voted for anyone else with 1 vote at the time or left things as is.

I don't understand how you can feel your position was any more about putting your own skin in the game than mine was? I made my move thinking people would do the logical thing, I've never seen an entire town leave shit hanging like we did on day 1 and by the time I got back into the game the action had already occurred. With respect to LLL's thoughts - yes, I am the deciding Stevesy vote. What choice did I honestly have? Would anyone else have picked the other way?

You're getting quite up in arms over that sentence. I'm saying there's smoke around ZIG, so yeah I'm going to be looking at your move off of him in addition to the other things I mentioned. I said I accept your reasoning, but that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore the fact that your move helped him get out of the runoff. That could absolutely 100% be a townie move, but it's still a move worth looking at.
And I'm not assuming anyone is mafia or inspector at this point in the game, but I have to look at potential reasons why Fozzie was whacked, and try to build something off of that. It's an initial second round vote. I could be way off base.

I moved to myself, if anyone had a problem with me moving I gave them plenty of opportunity to put me in the first RO. Any time anyone moves there's always going to be suspicion as to why/how, but rather than move my vote in consequentially to say Jaz, I put myself out there because the RO as it was was quacking dumb. To be suspicious once the reasoning behind it is mute is kind of bs.

It can certainly be inferred that you were committing a more selfless action by voting yourself in, but its d1r1. There is no weight to that. Mafia or town, anyone can gamble their position - it doesn't show more skin to me so much as it shows tact.
I think the whack points to ZIG, I don't even think he would disagree with that.
I agree, but I know that I’m town so to me it feels like a blatant attempt at misdirection.
Fozzie and Steve-O were both playing their first game and their play Day 1 actions, especially their super-stacking D1R1, felt like overzealous noobie play. I think we had a lot of “veteran” players sitting back and allowing the attention to be on me and a smaller runoff Day 1 because I’m an easy target and a smaller runoff is advantageous to Mafia. So my guess is that the Inspector was also playing quietly so the easy strategy was to have the whack point to the exact same people that were in the spotlight on Day 1.
Look at LLL’s post to start Day 2, for example. I think that’s the exact reaction Mafia wanted. She pointed out that the whack points to ZIG and somewhat to Steve-O and Fore. I don’t think that it is a coincidence that the whack points exactly to the same players most involved from Day 1. That’s usually a bad outcome for town and a good one for Mafia to continue focusing on the same 2 or 3 people each day.

I am usually thinking there's at least some misdirection in the whack, and I've stated as such in previous games. I think there could be some here as well.

I'm pretty sure every game I've played has had a misdirection first whack, as in not someone that was naming mafia members or voting for mafia members.
I'm seeing Dead & Co with the gf and her fam tonight and will be heading out of work in about an hour. After then I might not be able to check in/contribute until tomorrow morning depending on what time I get back from the show.

????? I am saying "let us not be stupid an put all of our eggs in one basket concentrating on only Steve voters"????? Not sure how that even relates to the four way situation.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I don't really know what direction to take this vote, so I'm going to ignore the breadcrumbs and go with the wallflowers.

Wallflowers? What is your reasoning?
Okay hear me out cos I know it is probably the pot calling the kettle black, but your input this game has been mostly about the function of actions in the game, while on the last page you brought up that you did place the vote on the person that ended up getting the (deserved) votes and saw no reason to divert. Logic tells me that you saw the unraveling of the 3 person runoff, but did not see a reason to change your vote - I'm only basing that on your statements.
Add to that, we are on D2R1 and the general consensus is we managed to get even less out of the first day than we normally do. That generally means Mafia is directing the conversation, which has forced me to turn different stones. Not assuming you're mafia, not assuming you're not - just don't see another logical direction.

We would be silly to not consider the possibility that the whack points to Mafia, we would also be silly to not consider that it may not. Which is why we need to include a little of both. Hence my suggestion to include both of the players that it points to, AS WELL as 2 other players. I think that we also have to keep in mind that Mafia knows Fozzie was a brand new player, and that he isn't going to be experienced with being an Inspector and may come off as more "obvious" to a paranoid Mafia.

I think breaking into Steve voters and Fore voters is doing that. I don't particularly care about where the 11 players were split on the final vote on this one since there was no narrowing down. At least not at this moment. I'm more concerned with the people who were seemingly ok ending up where we did.

It makes some sense. I saw we were at a 3 way so I did non mafia stuff, went to sleep, and next time I checked the shit had hit the fan. I'm not really objecting as mafia could have been anticipating a 4 way and going right to 2 could have possibly fucked them over.
My other question to you is why did you have no problem advancing Fore only to pull away at the last minute potentially saving him? You have played this enough to know the risk of him advancing.
So for similar reasons to yours plus the fact that the whacked player voted for Fore and you took your vote off him:

I didn't feel I had a choice but to null my vote. I walked away from this thing and everyone was going in a similar, non irrational direction. When I returned, 2 people were in the runoff and I had apparently helped contribute to that being the case despite the fact that I stated my vote change from Jaz was specifically to avoid a 2 person runoff (didn't I? I think I did at least, either way that was my logic) - With that in mind, Nulling seemed appropriate. After that, Stevesy increasingly lowered in value (to me at least) being that he was inexperienced and chatty in a way that isn't especially beneficial or productive.

We can break it down further from there however we end up wanting to, but we have no choice but to vote for Steve voters or Fore voters. I'm just my initial vote of the first round of this day by looking at this on a Macro level, you a Micro. Know what I mean?

Never Forget: Quiet Carini = Mafia
In honor of my commitment to not flatly voting you every game, I've thrown those sort of generalizations out the window to the best of my ability. This is different than silence, most of Carinis input is filler.

If I didn't put up filler posts I'd have to waste time defending against all of you saying I'm mafia based on post count alone. I'm damned if I do damned if I don't lol

Frankly man, the same argument could be posed for me so I get your frustration and assure you that I didn't intentionally seek you out in this match - its just how the cards fell. With that in mind, we are going in either the right direction or another diversion - it would be nice to see some more votes go up.
