Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Body Count, yeah mother******. Body Count ******. That's a pretty fire lineup for a rock fest. Some bro rap with Machine Gun Kelly and Yelawolf. Then Tech N9ne. haha. Still, Tool, Alice, APC, Stone Temple, Bullet for my Valentine, Body Count, Anti-Flag. You could be rocking at that mf.
Man, reading the comments on the fb page was interesting. Half the people hate it and think Tool is boring. The other half is like OMG dream cone true Tool and APC in one weekend!

I'm sure they'll be relieved when they see that Godsmack ends up at the same time as Tool.
This is a real solid rock fest imo. Waiting on the Roo lineup and gonna gauge interest from the group, but we may do this. I already had the time off work for Hangout originally.

I'm counting 7 or 8 bands I'd watch, and more that I'd actively avoid. There's a whole lot of 2000's hot garbage on there. And I'm not sure if I'd really want to see half of Alice in chains and STP....

the dude in chains isn't bad. their new music is whack but he's a deece fill in. idk about singer #3 for STP.

I saw them with the new guy before Starr died. He's good, but his voice and his persona are very theatrical, where Layne was tortured. Once was enough for me, but I would go see them at a festival unless they were against someone I haven't seen that was important to me

Any chance of single day tickets becoming available? If so I'd love to fly up for a day to see Tool, since I missed their entire 2017 east coast run. Also, anybody got any good stories/tips to share from prior years?

I seriously doubt single day tickets are coming back. They didn't sell them last year and they have moved to wristbands, instead of a ticket for each day, and also, the fest sold out last year. Looks to be on track to sell out again this year.
As it gets closer to May, people are usually selling wristbands pretty cheap. I see it every year on Facebook and Stubhub. I have always bought in advance but we're waiting until pretty close to the fest to get tickets through the secondary market this time (tickets are 300+, quite a steep jump in price from prior years).
The festival is fun. Pretty laid back actually. You have to be a diehard metal fan though to really enjoy it. If all you are really interested in is Tool, I don't think it would be worth the effort/money. Tool may only play for an hour and a half. Weather has been a factor at ROTR many times and caused delays, shorter sets.

Thanks for responding. I wouldn't expect more than 90 minutes from Tool at any festival, and could handle dealing with the remainder of the red state rock/metal for a day... but the inclement weather issues are a concern.
Some good undercard acts on this lineup; Greta Van Fleet, Body Count, Quicksand, Baroness, Andrew WK, Turnstile, Code Orange, Power Trip and Mutoid Man are all pretty dope.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb

Still wanna go to this... here's to wishful thinking that it won't sell out soon (due to the lack of an act like Metallica) and that day passes will go on sale.

Damn, won free passes to this... but I won't know until May if they are stadium or field tickets.
Alice in Chains looks to headline on Friday per their tour itinerary, so that would leave either Saturday or Sunday for Tool... it's hard to plan a flight at a good rate when you don't know the date yet.

Oh that's right, I attended this on Sunday.
The free passes did not allow for field access, so in practice it felt more like a stadium concert for Tool (who kicked ass) with a whole bunch of crappy buttrock support acts, rather than a festival. Which also entailed having to hoard GA bleacher seats for a longass time, in order to get a good spot for the headliner.
People in the stands were chill and respectful, but the field looked like a massive shitshow with non-stop crowdsurfers (a video even went viral of some lady crowdsurfing with her service dog). Glad I attended, but cannot imagine ever returning.

I will see Tool someday, but even with the (relative) proximity to my home I just couldn't justify it to myself. This seems way outside the norm for Inforoo, but hope anyone who went had a good time!
Saturday evacuation sucked (watched the Preakness then headed in) and they had traffic issues Friday so I missed Greta Van Fleet. Was concerned I was going to hate STP with the new singer but it was easily top 3 sets for the weekend.
this is my kickoff for festival season every year. Always find enough on the lineup to justify a ticket. Agreed its probably not the festival for the majority of Inforoo.

I read on the ROTR subreddit to take East 17th Street on Sunday, which was closed off per Google Maps but actually was still accessible for MAPFRE Stadium goers. That tip was a lifesaver.

This was my 6th ROTR and the first year that I ever ran into traffic problems. I tried to beat the system and take an Uber down friday to save time waiting for the hotel shuttle and it backfired. It was like the city of Columbus forgot that 130,000 people would be in town this weekend. East 17th was a lifesaver Sat and Sun.
