I got a text from my girlfriend yesterday saying "this looks awesome" which means it is in play. I have been to other Danny Whimmer fests and you can usually get tickets dirt cheap on Groupon or the secondary market the month of the fest. Anyone know if this is the same?

I was thinking that the typical Carolina Rebellion attendee wouldn't be happy with Muse headlining. That's like Billy Joel headlining pre-Live Nation Bonnaroo on a Sunday instead of some Jam Band.
I have been to Louder than Life which is the same production company that puts on all of these "rock" fests (Danny Wimmer Presents) and almost all of the people on the LTL Facebook groups are begging for Muse.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

These rebelers don't seem to feel the same way.
"Friday and Saturday are AMAZING! What the hell happened with Sunday's lineup though....my God. It's not even worth staying for. I'm undecided if I'll do Rebellion or Rock on the Range."
Sunday is undeniably stacked, precisely because it's legit hardcore, metal and punk, and not the dreaded butt-rock. A buddy of mine is a huge Maynard fan and is trying to convince me to go to rock on the range, but the Sunday lineup of Rebellion has as many acts as I'd want to see at RotR.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb
My girlfriend is into all this stuff. I told her Id check out like 4 bands Friday and one Saturday but Sunday was stacked and she thought I was crazy...Id rather go to Shakey Knees but Im going to have a hard time talking her out of this.

We have friends who do this fest nearly every year. They have fun. Many of the bands are too heavy for this old man to handle, but that Sunday line up looks really good.
I believe last year's festival (I was interested in Highly Suspect) had Soundgarden, which I think turned out to be Chris Cornell's final live show.

I won't be attending, but it's certainly noteworthy how a lot of these buttrock acts aren't even considered for most of the so-called cooler fests that people on boards like this tend to attend.
