Regarding the second point, if you look closely, Hell, MI, is never covered by the ice (or the liquid water).
It could also be in reference to Walk on Water. “I walk on water but only when it freezes”

I don't thing YYY's could be too big, but they surely aren't using a headliner for the second clue. It has to be someone else besides Em/Eagles

In a vacuum, Eminem definitely fits the clue the best out of names mentioned. But since we're only on Clue 2, I doubt it's him... could Bonnaroo possibly be incompetent enough to think that was a good idea?
I don't think this is it, but: The Cure have an unreleased live album called Big the Big Apple. It was recorded at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Kinda interesting what turns up when you search for clue-related keywords.
