So Jaz votes Thor and ZIG votes Jaz and we have what Maddog was trying to avoid anyway, if I follow Dad Dog logic.
Yeah that's mainly what I wanted to avoid.
I thought about throwing my vote on myself so zig wouldn't get a revote, but as good as that worked the other game, it's pretty risky, and knowing I'm town it's probably not the move to make at this point.*
*Because I'm not sold jr was 100% mafia and it's still very likely there could be all three left.
My initial vote for Thor was a pretty random vote out of Pablo, jaz, potent, and him for being quiet. jaz taking his place is good to me, even if he hasn't made many suspect posts, it's the number I'm concerned with not the quality.

Jaz is always quiet day 1 though and his posts have been imo way more insightful and townie than Thor’s (although Thor is always a tough read for me). I still have yet to hear a legitimate reason why he should be in besides post count.

Jaz didn't have to make a single move on Day 1. He voted for Viking and sat there. That's fine, but he's never gonna have a reason to be in a runoff if he's never in a runoff, you know what I mean? He's just floating on by. Notice we haven't even heard from him since I put him in the runoff.

You know it’s possible for people to reach similar conclusions independently right? You’re better than this zig. It’s also funny coming from the guy who single handily had the most control over the runoff day 1.

Well since I think JR was Mafia going after the Viking voters is the best option from my point of view. There’s a difference between piggybacking and collaborating. Or are you saying townies shouldn’t work together to find Mafia???
Also if you think that Viking mad dog and I are all Mafia that means you think that everyone who is town is just sitting back and watching. If that was the case why would the Mafia need to post so much????

Ok, so, I didn't want to have to do this so early, but Town is pretty off-track and I don't think I'm going to have a better opportunity to reveal.
Jaz was my given name.
Sorry Jaz, blah blah blah, it's basically a cliche at this point, and I do kinda feel bad for you, but I still hope you lose. Good job sitting back. You've given the vanilla players (and me) nothing so far.
When it was time to guess, I was mostly making my choice between four players: Viking, ZIG, Zolah, and Thor. (This is in somewhat of an order, but don't think of it as a strict ranking of whom I am most suspicious of or whom I was most suspicious of at the time.
Viking was interesting because of how aggressive he was, yes, but I also found myself preoccupied with the reciprocal voting between him and Jaz. If the two were Mafia together and swapped votes, it would be early distancing with a 66% chance that I had one of their two names. So, 2:1 that I would have one's name and write the other off right off the bat.
ZIG was interesting because of some of the heat he was taking from Viking, but also his reserved style of play in this game. I guess he said something before the game about being busy, but I never put all that much stock in that. He did express some frustration over Viking, but didn't get royally pissed or call anyone a moron like I might have guessed would happen with Viking in the game. Also, ZIG referencing Mafias 88 and 94 as examples of Viking's play, both of which were games where Viking was Mafia, rubbed me the wrong way.
Zolah was mostly in consideration because I had to take Viking's theories somewhat seriously. I don't think there was a whole lot to the whole JR and Zolah cheating or being Mafia thing, but JR did seem kinda Mafia-y on my last read through, so again, I didn't want to write it off.
Thor was in the group because he was playing very similarly to Jaz, as far as stacking Viking and sort of drafting on the idea that Viking is awful and we should vote for him because he's awful and it sucks playing with him. All of this may be true, and I haven't seen the worst of Viking, I'm sure, but Mafia is a dirty game full of shitty lying players insulting each other and Viking is in this one. "Don't hate the player, hate the game" type of deal.
I guessed ZIG for the reasons above but also because I knew he would be a strong ally as a cleared player if it turned out that he was Town. I could observe his actions and, more importantly, the actions of others toward him, and also be reasonably confident in ZIG's investment in the game and playing ability to hopefully take the reigns somewhat and defeat Mafia after I'm whacked, which I assume will happen.
The picture might even be more muddy now, though. We've got Dan and Maddog, both of whom I leaned Town on after Day 1, going after ZIG when I know he's Town. Potent has been absent for most of the game. Guess he got married or something goofy like that while we've been carrying out the serious business of lynching Mafia.
Again, apologies to the Townies that I don't have more for you. I'm asking you to just believe me for the most part, and I know that. I wish I had some more sound logic and obvious patterns to show you, but like I said: we're all pretty off-track in this game right now, and I don't want to get whacked without giving y'all something.
Initial thought is to believe Pablo. He was an unknown to me and Jaz as a given name makes sense given that he was pushing me on why I didn’t want Jaz in the runoff.

No reason to think Pablo is faking at this moment. No one is in imminent danger, and Pablo somewhat tipped his hand by voting for Jaz. I still think it would have been better to advance into the runoff and see who would have lobbied against Jaz proceeding but it’s pretty obvious Jaz wasn’t going to be receiving much heat today compared to ZIG, myself, Zolah, etc.
Tainted whack still makes sense to me. Jaz was one of the Viking voters. With ZIG being cleared, that only leaves myself and Zolah who were in Viking. I know I’m town and if Zolah was mafia, that would mean there were 3 mafia voting for Viking in D1. Not impossible, but definitely less likely.

Just going to point out before Mafia or some fake Inspector does that ZIG was in danger, and that I saved him. They'll try to spin it by saying I'm Mafia with ZIG, probably, but I did it because he's the only one of you that I know is Townie and I wasn't going to let him get lynched. I would have liked a runoff as well, but I was already on Jaz, and there wasn't really any convincing evidence that Jaz is Mafia. I only know it because he's my given name. I probably couldn't have given anyone a great reason to switch their vote to him without revealing, and even if I put the energy into doing so, I probably would have ended up being the whack anyway because of that. At least this way y'all also know ZIG is Town and we can lynch a known Mafia on Day 2.
I have been looking at Viking, Danbob and Maddog. All three of them voted JR at the end of Day 1. Maddog and Viking I have been the most confident about and Danbob fit it in as a good third option. In this scenario, I could see Danbob caught being the “patsy” or fake third mafia. If this is the case, then the real third mafia would have been a JR voter being the third. Jaz was the top of my suspicion list among JR voters, so it makes sense that he could be Mafia.
My guess is Mafia is probably Jaz - Maddog - Viking. I will dig through and analyze a bit tomorrow when back at work.
I havent really been getting vibes that pablo and zig were in cahoots, and this fits with the jaz not being very helpful this game. i'm inclined to believe for now. would also make sense as to why pablo hasn't made any big moves/talked too much trash since doing those things have gotten him killed pretty quick in the past.
I did kind of agree with zig when dan said 'controlling' that he seems to be piggy backing, and he was kind of defending jaz for thor, so if anything this all lowers my opinion of dan for now.
I was never clear on viking either, idk that this really changes my opinion. zolah seems to be less suspicious. thor and potent idk, both were super quiet and then thor went on a post spree, potent's is a little more easily defended, but he also is one of a few people to bring up the splits which I'm not a fan of.
and as far as me pushing zig, it was about trying to keep jaz and him from revoting, I don't think that would be a smart thing to really push if I was mafia with Jaz.
