Hey, y'all.. my group and I are driving down from New England this year as well. How many days should we allot for the trip? Mapquest says it's about 18 hours driving time.
i've left late Wednesday a.m. the past two years and it worked out great for me! but it depends on if you're planning on stopping at night to sleep. we've gone straight thru the night and made it there early thursday.
I suggest splitting it up in 3 hour blocks with your fellow travelers if possibly. Plenty of water and good foods and get out and have a stretch every change.
Or you could act the tough guy and drive it straight through. No stops and pissing in a plastic bottle that you also use for hydration!?
has everyone jumped on the myspace group for MA travelers? could be good for those looking for a lift, as well as those people who want to join the convoy.
i didn't drive the whole time by myself. it was me and one of my friends. we did stop for food and one of us would sleep while the other drove. it was a long time, but the excitement of where we were going kept us alive!! the ride home was another story

My brother and I drove from RI last year using the same plan.....one driving one sleeping...worked out just fine......... Redbull helped on the ride home!!
