This website is offering 50% off Sloss GA tickets. I used them a few years ago when they were offering a similar deal on VIP tickets, so they are legit. You just bring your receipt and tickets are at will call.
So the schedule on the app is different than the one on the website. Which one is right?
Have you been able to find this out yet? Is the schedule much different on the app? (I'm not able to download the app from my region so don't have access to that schedule)

I just noticed on the website that Waxahatchee seems to be off the schedule and Jack Berry on it. Was that the difference?

That's one of the things. All of the times are an hr off.

Are you in a different time zone? Is it possible the app automatically changes the time to whatever time zone you are in? Not sure why they would have that feature but only thing that makes sense to me

Is Birmingham in Central time zone? I'm in Eastern.

I've done some research on the lineup and am pleasantly surprised how many acts I'm excited to see
I'm in the same boat. Started with a handful I was familiar with but so many acts that we had never heard of before that we are now pumped for (like RKS, Matt Maeson, and LANY). Also found that the schedule worked out well. Other than the Vance Joy v. Quinn XCII conflict im not sure they could have arranged the lineup in any way that could have made me happier than what they did.
Can anyone report on the apparent communication meltdown?
Well, they closed the stages and made everybody take shelter either in the shed or under the highway overpass due to lightning within 5 miles, after an hour or more they decide to evac the grounds for some reason (storms were gone). Allegedly some security were telling people it was over for the day (when that was never said officially be the festival) and a lot of people who don't understand outdoor festivals are bitching about refunds and such after they left and didnt come back when the fest re opened gates at 6:30 and cancelling a few acts to get the schedule right. It seemed like a really big cluster, and glad thats not my job lol.

Gotcha, thanks. Like you said, I just saw a lot of very unhappy people asking for refunds on social media.

They handled Sunday's delay better, even though it was much longer. Saturday's biggest cluster was evacuating people after they had let them shelter inside for over an hour. They told everyone to go take shelter in their cars, apparently not realizing that a bunch of people ubered in and were basically tossed out of the sheltered viaduct to stand in the road exposed "for your safety." By Sunday, they were "suggesting" people evacuate for the bigger storm, but not requiring it. They also installed speakers under the viaduct to communicate on Sunday which helped because they told everyone on Saturday to keep up via Twitter. You can imagine how that went with 15k people all clogging up bandwidth trying to refresh for info.
It's a problem every outdoor fest and venue is going to have to figure out or smalls like Sloss are going to die of it. The Bonnaroos of the world are big enough to weather some butthurt fans. Sloss doesn't have that kind of wiggle room. They canceled a LOT of shows Sunday. I don't have a lot of sympathy for the people who are whining "I paid $100 just to see Rainbow Kitten Surprise" because for that money they could drive to Atlanta and see a full club show. But once you have to cancel 1/3 of the day, the complaints start to become a little more understandable.
It was a mess but we had tons of fun in Birmingham bars. Good thing we went with friends. Our mood would be a lot different if we had been alone. We only saw Isbell and Arcade Fire (and I guess I have to count 21 Savage) Sat. Sun. we only saw the last half of Nikki Lane and Margo Price until they cut her off.

My boyfriend and I got free VIP tickets to this fest. Over the two days, we spent 7 hours waiting for the "all clear" under the overpass, and saw 3.25 acts.
Saturday was a complete cluster fuck. The staff had no consensus on what was happening, and the cellular network was overwhelmed. When we could get our phones to work, there were no updates from Sloss on their fest app, or their social media. Once the fest reopened again, we looked to the big screens on the sides of the stages for schedule updates. They weren't there. We asked around, no one we asked knew for sure. They may have posted the updates online, but we weren't able to connect onsite to see them. We did see Jason Isbell and Arcade Fire.
Sloss did improve the onsite communications on Sunday, and because it wasn't a complete evacuation, the food and drink vendors that were under the shelter stayed open during that time. There was even a dance party under the bridge.
Overall, we still had a good time, and we'll go again (as long as we get free tickets). But, yikes, if we had paid for the VIP tickets, I'd be a bit salty right now.

We will never count 21 Savage.
Our group was lucky in that we had each other to hang out with. I saw AF, which is the reason I went, so I’m not too torn up. I think I’m also too old for festivals.
I feel like for what Sloss is going for, they may want to consider having the fest when collegel is in session, like in the Spring. This fest is geared to a younger crowd, and the weather may be a bit better.... usually no pop-up storms to contend with in the Spring... just rain.
