Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Superjam has a lot of potential this year. Nile Rodgers, Chromeo, Anderson .Paak, Bon Iver, Hayley Williams, Sheryl Crow, Thundercat, Trombone Shorty, Sturgill Simpson, St. Paul, Mavis Staples, First Aid Kit, and Tash Sultana could all be possibilities i guess.
I think there are like 10 acts here I'd want to see. The majority of those are so accessible I would never need to go camp in TN for them. After running through the lineup this didn't change. So spread those across 4 days and there's a good chance some of those might conflict. I don't think I will ever return to this fest and that is really unfortunate. They could have Roger Waters on top of this bill and it would do nothing for me because the undercard is so bad. I've wanted to see Muse here since I started going too.
A big negative for me the last 6 years is discovering bands, and never seeing them at Bonnaroo again. Black Angels, Vaccines, Django Django, many many more. Willing to bet 90% of these bands we’ve never heard of will never play Roo again.
Yeah. I can't believe they introduced Unchained to us and haven't had them back since. Give the people what they want.
This lineup is just confusing to me. Why do you need both The Killers and Muse? Why book Eminem and Future as two of your top four and then have such a poor showing of rap in the undercard? Khalid, Playboi Carti and Rich Chigga are garbage, which Brockhampton and Denzel Curry don't really make up for.
Sturgill Simpson at six is absurd. The entire third line is puke worthy. What the hell are Sylvan Esso and Rebelution doing being billed so high? Even Anderson is pushing it.
Electronic music selection is better than last year's at least. Bassnectar/Kaskade as the top two for that genre is a joke though, could they really not pull anyone else out of their ass that hasn't played the festival at least twice before? No Justice, Above and Beyond, anyone?
There are splashes of good booking choices (Bon Iver, BSS, T-Pain, Nile, Rufus) but not worth the cost of a ticket and camping pass.

If it was just Arcade Fire instead of the Killers and Justice over Kaskade, this would almost be a no-brainer for me. And it sucks because Lolla had both last year.
Yeah this lineup, just like 2016 (though to a lesser degree), seems to have a glaring disconnect between the headliners and the undercard. Expecting this to sell less than 60k.

Or when they have a band a few times and then mysteriously don't bring them back. Like having St. Vincent in 09,12,13 and now not having her for 5 yr. and missing 2 of her best tours.
I wonder if one of the Bon Iver sets could be a show with the Nashville Symphony or something like that.
That could be worth the trip to Roo in itself, if you're a Bon Iver fan at least. The stream of his orchestra set at Coachella last year was absolutely majestic.
I wouldn't really be *surprised* by this, though I still don't think it would happen. Could see him doing small band/acoustic even for a For Emma set, and then an orchestra set for the second one.

Just listen to 22, A Million. I honestly was not a fan until that album. Saw him perform it at a warehouse in Brooklyn that was filmed for NPR. Great show.

That's the album that won me over too. My little sister has been a long-time fan, she cites For Emma being the album that got her into "good music", and I always thought he was pretty good but not one of my favorites. 22, A Million came out while I was personally going through a lot of stuff and I listened to that album a lot and now I have a huge emotional bond with it. Roo will be our first time seeing him so we are really beyond excited!

Bon Iver, Bon Iver did it for me initially. But 22, a Million is gold. Can't wait to see him later this month, and definitely extremely excited about the Roo sets.

Saturday conflicts:
Brockhampton/Shiba San Bassnectar/Bon Iver/Superjam
I'm not particularly passionate about some of the above acts. Some of them I was just interested in maybe catching. But having said that the schedule provides a great indication of how a lineup with 15 acts you are interested in catching can become a lineup where you only see five acts you are interested in catching.
No serious conflicts Thursday or Sunday, but neither day has a ton of good acts anyway.
Shuck I'm not being critical of your schedule, it seems reasonable. Thank you for making it, it showed me how easily a lineup I rate 2/5 can become a lineup I rate 1/5.

Can everyone please stfu about nectar and his fans holy shit ive nevee seen more negativity in this group then when nectar shows up. As a huge nectar fan, of thr music and the dude himself as a person, let me take this opportunity to say were not all a bunch of dmdmt smoking rail campi g rude llittering wooks. How would that even be possibpe wih all the qooks phish and umph has theres just not enough wooks. If theres anyone out there that hasnt seen Lorin do his thi g yet. Come with me and my wife and our crew were all clean responsible family people who will show you the beauty in a nectar show.
It was dumb of them to include cafe acts on the initial poster. I think this much is quite clear.
Years ago those acts would be in cafes. Pretty sure they’re in tents now.
Nah. The poster has about 50 more acts than last year's did. It seems they've just included the cafe acts right off the bat (which was a dumb move, as it honestly makes the lineup look weaker than it is).
