Anybody ever gone solo before? My friend I was going with just decided they can't go anymore, but I don't want to not go just because they can't. I'm a very anxious person so just feeling overwhelmed at the idea of tackling it all solo. Definitely would be way out of my comfort zone, but I want to make it happen. It's mainly the preparing and setting up/camping aspect I'm concerned about. I'm fine with the idea of actually experiencing the rest of it alone.
First year I ever went was 2013 and I went solo. Made some life long friends. I loved every minute of it. Don’t let the solo adventure hold you back!

Did Solo Roo for the first time last year! I had the same concerns as you, but I channeled that concern into a pretty elaborate prepping effort that made things easy once I arrived at my camp spot. It's 100% worth it, and you'll almost definitely meet a ton more people than you would otherwise.

I think that's what I'm going to do, just make sure I feel as prepared as possible. I'm sure once I set up and settle in that initial wave of anxiety will subside. I'm glad there's so much to do this year cause I'm looking forward to being able to do exactly what I want when I want to. Will probably do a lot of exploring.
Thanks everyone for your replies, I feel reassured. I think I'm going to buy my friend's wristband today.
I heard from someone tonight who saw them at Boston Calling and said they were horrible
Yeah I'm going to keep an eye on their next shows. I'm guessing this was a last minute decision and they weren't prepared. But if things stay this way or get worse I have no problem seeing Bon Iver's second set instead.

Ameer had performed with them post-allegations, right? All the shit I’m reading from Boston calling is weird. I was only gonna catch the second half of their set regardless, but damn.

I think they had one show right after the allegations. Not sure where or how that ended up going though.

They actually had a show the night before Boston Calling and he apparently performed. At Boston Calling there's footage of a couple members crying on stage at one point, and Dom apparently angrily left the stage right after finishing his Junky verse. I'm thinking Ameer may have quit the band, or maybe they were just told he couldn't perform idk.
Not that this is what is important, but I'm definitely really bummed about their upcoming Bonnaroo performance. After watching their Coachella show I was hyped. But either way now, I feel like their show is going to feel really weird. I may have to skip it.

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
So was their BC performance a statement against Ameer?
Fr though, this is about as major of a thing as you can get. Are they gonna change their album covers? Completely scrap their discography to date since it so heavily features Ameer?
And as for their replacement - I truthfully wouldn’t mind it being someone I don’t care to see cos I’m staying for the entirety of Bon Iver and am down to see either the tail end of STS9. Shit I might even be down for Kaskade if I’m feeling it.

You know what ... I actually think it’s most likely that a Sunday act fills the spot now that you mention it, with it clearly being packed scheduling wise (as is indicated by the 15-30 minute gaps between some sets).
