So was their BC performance a statement against Ameer?
I don't think so. I think they were just in a weird position of not knowing what to do. They probably don't want to let their fans down and they definitely want that festival money. But after their Boston Calling show was a mess I think they realised that they shouldn't be touring right now until they figure something out.

It's such a difficult and shitty situation for the group and the fans. I think the decision to apologize, cancel dates, and regroup is the best decision they could make when there are no good options.
Hopefully they will be able to forge a path forward.

2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
Someone just asked Kaskade on Twitter if he was going to go until sunrise this year and he replied say the stage has a hard cut off time but that he has extracurricular activities planned for after.
I'd bet a redux set on Kalliope or in one of the campground barns.

You know what ... I actually think it’s most likely that a Sunday act fills the spot now that you mention it, with it clearly being packed scheduling wise (as is indicated by the 15-30 minute gaps between some sets).
Just remembered Jungle has another gig Saturday night so it won't be them.
Moon Taxi tweeted @ Roo suggesting they’re down to do a People of the Sun set in that slot (I.e., RATM cover set). I’d def be down for this.
Wait Moon Taxi doing a RATM cover set? I would be all over that!
Same - plus, I feel like it’d be the kinda thing that I wouldn’t mind enjoying from the back/only seeing half of. With Brockhampton, I was kinda bummed that I’d only be there for half and likely not be able to get into the thick of the action. Not the case here.

In addition this would be a performance that brings us back and closer to the Roo we used to love with rare and unique sets

I talked to Robert Randolph on Twitter and he said he's totally down with Playing Roo. A Robert Randolph & The Family Band set would so go over late night!
His set would help nostalgia be brought back to the farm and I'm sure he wouldn't cost that much either. I know whoever runs the Bonnaroo Twitter app saw it to (but is probably an intern)

I feel like, between that, Moon Taxi's tweet, and whatever they were thinking of before people started spewing suggestions, they have plenty of feasible options. But, also, they'll probably go with the simplest (and cheapest) option, as well as an act that will attract enough of the demographic that will be attending this year. I'm not sure that RR fits that bill anymore, but I suppose we'll see.

I was excited to catch some Brockhampton after the Bon Iver sets but that's out the window now hah, there's so much going on Saturday night that for me so that's not too big of a bummer. A lot of my friends were really anticipating that set though, I wonder what they're gonna do with that timeslot.
OK, so what is everyone's top five or ten? I'm still working on mine. Pond is number one.
1. Bon Iver 2. Anderson .Paak 3. Broken Social Scene 4. Japanese Breakfast 5. Chic ft. Nile Rodgers 6. Moses Sumney 7. Everything Everything 8. Pond 9. Thundercat 10. Sturgill Simpson
Probably gonna see Pond over Moses Sumney though because I’ll be able to see Moses at Eaux Claires and Pitchfork, plus being in the shade for Pond is a bonus.

1. Anderson .Paak 2. Superjam 3. Post Animal 4. Thundercat 5. Playboi Carti 6. Chic 7. Pond 8. Ron Gallo 9. Jungle 10. Denzel Curry and out of the headliners: Eminem (I’ve never seen him live, and i know its a pipe dream and only setting myself up for disappointment but since .Paak is opening, the Dr. Dre-connection is ripe for a cameo appearance from the Dr. himself)
Also can we get the avalanches back , weren’t they initially on the lineup last year ?
Not exactly. They were just rumored because of their tendency to indiscriminantly like tweets that mention them, in this case one saying they should play Roo.
i know it isn't going to happen so not sure why i am posting this, but man Cut Copy has an opening the weekend after bonnaroo and is in Arkansas the weekend after, for the love of someone at bonnaroo please make that happen to replace Brockhampton

Eminem's set at Boston Calling got good reviews. Looks like he replaced the Dr. Dre and 50 Cent parts of his Coachella set with: Without Me, Forever, Won't Back Down, Bezerk and Fast Lane (with Royce).
