Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Haha. I always liked him. It’s not super deep or nuanced, but it’s decent enough for an afternoon set.
Also C hit me up and said they got free pizza at Jungle. Apparently there was a cart on its way and they got a bunch of it. Was some video channel so probably something Jungle curated directly. He is a major STS9 fan and said it was awesome last night. Even started Circus acoustic and kicked it in electric. Thought I’d be streaming it so didn’t send or take videos. Yeah, fat chance they’re going to show a 1:30am set.
I’m ready to see Moon Taxi. I think I’ve seen em 6(7?) times but last time was Which Stage 15. It was a bit more crowded overall (pit more crowded this time) but Sunday at Bonnaroo sometimes has lighter crowds with people dropping off and leaving out. Hope they drop Mercury and do a Jammier set. Also I’m looking forward to Future for whatever it delivers. alt-j and Killers isn’t super exciting but their last few shows were good. So maybe they’ll be worth watching.
All I knew was some people went over there after Eminem but nothing was happening. They were all going to Tribe so if anything happened after i wouldn’t know. Moon Taxi ran through a hits set, but they are a guilty pleasure even if playing the hits. Future looks like a wild party. Some people hate on him and maybe sometimes he has it coming. But you know the show is going to be fun. lol at Future’s “in the building “ line. Hahahahaha.
Good Killers set so far. They’re never at the top of any list for me, but they don’t leave shit on the table. Big crowd who looks into it for a closer show. Nice job with rock at 18 Bonnaroo.
The production value here is pretty massive. I think I might have had more fun at this show than Muse, which I wouldn't have expected.
I don’t know. Muse looked loud on tv and was confirmed. That shit was good. But yeah. I think people sleep on the killers and I know I did once at Hangout back when. Even with the Vegas show elements and whatever they embrace that shit because it’s who they are. Surprisingly great closer for Bonnaroo.
The Killers weren't doing anything for me so I went back to camp maybe 6 songs in. I was pretty exhausted though, so that could have a bit to do with not being able to get into it.
alt-J was definitely good, but not great. Really wish his voice was stronger.
Jungle was amazing. Had so much fun, especially the last 3 songs. Just wish they didn't play 3 songs that aren't even released yet, including the opener. They've done a whole tour having not released an album but playing several songs from it no one knows.
I actually totally forgot about When You Were Young when I decided to leave. Once I started hearing it from camp I remembered it was my favorite song of theirs.

Another great Roo. I ended up winning free 2019 tix thanks to Fiat, met Moses Sumney, and spent too much money on food. I also somehow slept until noon on Saturday and got put in Pod 3.
The Killers were not doing it for me though. I’ve seen them three times before and Flowers was just not hitting the notes well, which was weird since Killers songs are super easy to sing.
I’m still unsure how Roo sold 80k especially with 3 HLers who have done virtually nothing in a decade. The country music was a great touch though and I always had something to do.

Well literally just got home. Today was amazing. I started off just hanging out in the shade near That Tent when Amadou & Mariam started playing. The music pulled me in after about 15 minutes. They were incredible. Also ran into Ashley Capps and shook his hand.
BSS was very good. Wasn't that familiar with a lot of their music going in but I enjoyed every second of that show. The front man seems like a really cool dude.
Daniel Ceaser blew my fucking mind. That man has such an amazing voice. The crowd was very into it and the sing alongs were so magical. Only weird thing was how many people held their phones up for long periods of time at that show. I don't really see that many people holding their phones up Bonnaroo, but this show had a lot of that going on.
I ended up getting center rail for Thundercat which really enhanced the experience of that show. Besides Bon Iver's second set, Thundercat was my favorite show of the weekend. They're all just amazing musicians and that psychedelic jazz took me to another universe. The blunt rotation going up and down the rail was fucking great too. Thundercat ended up doing an encore and playing 10-15 minutes past his set time (At Live Nation's Bonnaroo!). I didn't see that coming at all. I was already on my way out when they came back onstage so I had to run back. The tent was only 25% full when they did the encore but it made the experience so much more fun because I had a lot more dancing room. I decided to end my night on that experience and avoid The Killers all together which I'm happy with.

Thanks to everyone providing field reports from Bonnaroo this year, I enjoyed reading your posts over the weekend. Sounds like you can still have fun at Bonnaroo, and it appears that logistically things ran pretty smoothly. I like hearing about artists exceeding their set times, as well as all the "surprise" but-maybe-not-so-secret sets popping up.
The only negative I'm reading is some of the more inforoo appealing artists (bon iver, paak, etc) had smaller crowds.
Question: how were the crowd sizes at the various headliners? Did Eminem have the biggest crowd of the weekend?
