Coachella sent out an email explicitly saying they won't be mailing the posters out to people until after the festival, "in an effort to provide you the most current and up-to-date line up poster." They've never done that before, have they?

I’ll allow it.
Hypechella! Let’s get weekend one add on that mysterious stage

Could've been so weekend two folks could get the "Sunday Service" stuff on their posters.

Could just be a typo but Pitchfork had Gambino playing Saturday the 13th today in an article.

Oh I have no doubt there are innocuous explanations. The tone just doesn't quite line up; they're being very careful with words around the lineup the past few days and I'm letting my hype dream in this direction for a little while.

Sunday service with The Roots > Sunday Service with Kanye
I would love an experience we can all wake up to on Sunday.
Not as attached to Kanye (the roots would be way better!) but I love the idea of having a Bloody Mary sitting in the grass listening with a half dead brain. I can’t sleep in past 8 at the fest anyhow while camping.
Poster being mailed out late is definitely worthy of tinfoil hat mode. But what exactly are you tinfoiling? I love tinfoiling, I want in. Kanye on W1, late adds, or both? It could honestly just be to get Sunday Service on the bottom of the poster like it looks now.
It's been 5 years since the last time Coachella had any big late adds.
How great would it be if Pixies were a late add again. Their tour schedule made them a lock until the lineup dropped and they were inexplicably absent. They could play Sunday easily.

Most likely? Getting Sunday Service on the poster.
But thinking big/unlikely/foolishly: Sunday Service on both weekends AND late adds (I've had a pet dream that Chemical Brothers would be added at set times, it just makes TOO MUCH SENSE for them to be in North America with all their gear and not be on the lineup).

Just to give an idea of how crowded Sunday service will be. My homegirl works for a famous non music publication. She has press passes but she doesn’t want to camp so she’s only driving up for Kanye and driving back

So...not actually attending Coachella / staying up til 3am the night before / etc?

I’m confused by your questions cause 1 is right 1 is wrong. Not attending Coachella. Going to bed Saturday and waking up close to 4/5AM and driving up.

My point is just that I'm doubtful there will be too many non-campers going to this thing, after staying up til 3am or later the night before and having to wake up again by 7ish to be there. Your example is a bad one with regard to measuring how crowded it'll be; of course someone who works at a music publication is going to want to be at the first public sunday service, and it's 1000x easier if it's the only thing in the weekend they're planning around.
This is otherwise, in my opinion, going to end up essentially a campers-only event. (Not saying it won't be crowded, though, of course.)

I strongly disagree but we shall see. No use going back and forth, the lines and parking that morning will determine who was right. I can’t imagine someone getting an air conditioned night of sleep skipping the biggest artist’s performance cause they don’t want to take a 20 min Uber that they can return home after and not enter the festival til sunset.

I think you are severely underestimating how many people will show up to this but, since I’m one of those people, I hope you’re right.
