Just bought my ticket! Can't believe after 4 years of barely missing him/cancellations I'm finally seeing Kanye. Also look for me in the front row for Rosalia
Man Coachella must be so fucking over trying to find emergency replacements for big acts. I wasn't going to see her, but there is this stench over this year I can't quite shake. I am super excited for the lineup, it just seems like nothing is quite going their way and the fanbase is feeling the same way.
Oh crap, car camping and tent camping is still available on Coachella's website for Weekend 1. QUICK, anyone ever done both? Which is better? And there wouldn't be any issues since I have my GA pass already right? I'm assuming I'd just have to pick up the car camping/tent pass from Will Call?

Car camping > tent camping for sure. Closer to the gate and having your car right there is much better logistic-wise, getting in/out, for setting up shade, charging etc. I assume you'd be able to just pick up the pass at Will Call at this point and having a GA pass already should be fine.

Sunday service being canceled cause fire hazard would be the nail in the coffin for W2

Thanks! Car Camping it is. First year staying on the grounds. I've always done hotel or house.
I am so, so happy about the Sonora/Mojave/Gobi setup.
I have to say that this video tells me a different story. I may be wrong but that looks to be "NEW" larger yuma then gobi and mojave. Why would they make the sonora tent so large? It was never nearly the size of the other two.

This is probably right. The closest stage in that second video looks like the Yuma

I think you're right, I think Sonora might still be back where the market and new spot for the Antarctic. Yuma would work great close to other stages too because you really don't need to worry about sound bleed from it or against it.
I too think that's the Yuma, not the Sonora. It's the same size as the Gobi now (and if we ever needed a confirmation that the Mojave was mega-sized last year, well here it is) which makes a lot of sense for the Yuma especially if big acts like Chris Lake and Cirez D are going in it, but makes zero sense for the Sonora given that it's rarely even 1/4 full and they didn't book any significantly larger than normal names there this year.

Best part about this fest is way they always try and correct a fuckup from the previous year though. I love that we'll be able to pop around those three stages so easily since I spend 85% of my time at them.

Good points re: Sonora vs Yuma, and as long as the Sonora stays over where it was last year that's fine by me. Anything they can do to keep the stages close together is good IMO. Do y'all think they're gonna leave the Sahara off on its own in that corner? Would this indicate an expanded Do Lab over there? We do know it's getting a new structure.
