I was pretty shocked at how empty King Krule and The Drums were last year when they closed the Mojave. The Drums at FYF was one of the biggest and craziest audiences of the weekend a few years ago, funny how little the audiences overlap between FYF and Coachella.
Afternoon sets are empty because only a 3rd of the fans are onsite, especially on Friday. I'm talking evening set where there is 125k onsite and only 50 people are paying attention. Only 1 in 2,500 attendees know you were there. Even worse when they know it will be the same same crowd size next week, your label/management had sky high hopes on the booking, it's being streamed worldwide with crowd shots and there's no fan energy.
Of the 313,000 units, 170,000 of those were pure album sales, resulting in the second-largest sales week for an LP in 2019 and the largest sales week for a female artist. (Backstreet Boys has Eilish beat with their DNA release.) Her historic presence in the pop canon, especially when it comes to the female pop elite, can’t be stressed enough. On-demand streaming numbers for WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP tallied to nearly 200 million, marking the third-biggest streaming week for an album ever. As Billboard notes, the LP also ushered in her entry into the “300,000 Club,” as its just the seventh album in history to pull in more than 300,000 units. She joins other now-classic pop records like Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next, Adele’s 25, and Taylor Swift’s 1989 to have achieved the feat.
Man after all this, now it looks like I may not be able to attend this year. Friend who has industry connections may now have to work that weekend, and thus no free passes for me! I've spent hours in the set time threads for NOTHING!
Crazy numbers for Billie, and count me in with the crowd that was pleasantly surprised by it. My wife was going to beeline for Billie regardless, so glad that I actually like this new crop of songs.
And re: map, it can come out whenever. Monday, Tuesday, I feel like it came out after set times one year (am I making that up?). I think CarterGee on Reddit solved the layout though, so no surprises really left other than where Do-Lab is.

I'm down for the Lorde + Billie Eilish co-headline in 2021
Billie Eilish will have the 3rd largest crowd of the weekend. Behind only Ariana and Cudi. I mentioned before that, with Solange out, she makes the most sense to be bumped up to sub. She would have been an official sub if she were booked for 2020 post-album anyways. No way she could be booked anything less. If her trajectory keeps going up, she will headline one day. Who knows, could take a dip in popularity in a couple years like Lana Del Rey did.
I’d consider Khalid, Diplo and Juice WRLD in that group as well.
I’m curious how big of a crowd J Balvin, Bad Bunny and BLACKPINK will draw.
I don’t see Khalid but possible. New album didn’t build buzz (I dig it tho!). I didn’t count Diplo and Juice just cause I’m assuming outdoor/Sahara and who they may be going up against. If Cudi is really Main it’s just Bassnectar (huge crowd) but I see a LOOOOOOT of people heading to Cudi even if just to see Kanye (ugh)

I think the only other massive draw here will be FISHER. Just as reddit somehow thinks Cage the Elephant could sub, y'all in this thread thinking Cudi will be top 3 crowds for the weekend are nuts.
Is Kanye showing up with Cudi the new Daft Punk showing up with Phoenix?
I mean unless daft was supposed to headline that year, and had all their label mates on the lineup and then got added to do a unique set on the grounds then yes.
I would love nothing more than 60 minutes of only Cudi but I know what’s possible and I know what the majority of the crowd is gonna expect.
