If they keep the same pattern those should be the weekends. I booked W2 under that assumption. I feel like if you want to go the hotel route you can find decently priced options. I think I just got really lucky with VRBO when it came to the house.

I'm wondering if I would regret booking at "All Worlds Resorts - A Clothing Optional Gay Men's Resort" to save a few bucks? I mean, I don't plan to actually stare at all the penises.

As a heads up, there's a hotel in Palm Springs that went through a reno recently (think it was an old Howard Johnson?) close to the Ace Hotel called the V Hotel.
It's a really nice hotel, stayed there for 1 night on a whim last summer with my girlfriend when we wanted to get out of LA for a night. This was their first festival season and they literally still have weekend 2 and Stagecoach availability for $220 a night, which is loony. They only let you book like 9 months ahead it looks like, but keep it on your list in case it stays $220, that's a steal.
Also, airbnb now has an option to only pay 1/2 the total when you book, and 1/2 later.
Wait, seriously? Thats awesome because I never use Airbnb for that very reason because I hate paying upfront due to always changing my plans.
Yeah, and as long as the listing isn't a "strict" cancelation policy, you can cancel and get your money back minus fees, which is like $18 or something
Not sure whether to be super pumped for this Kanye news or to keep my expectations in check. It's great he's got a new album comin and will be touring again, but for Coachella's sake, I wonder if a June 2018 release fucks it up for him being booked.
What do you do when you check in to your hotel on Friday and not Thursday? Do miss the beginning of the day to check in at 3pm, or do you keep your stuff in your car while at the festival Friday and just check in super late that night?

Drop your bags off Friday morning and tell them to put them in your room when its ready. They can keep bags in check

This is the exact reason y were going Thursday. 4 hour flight from Chicago to San Diego, hopefully get in around noon, 2.5 hour drive to Palm Desert, stop and get groceries on the way, and we should be able to check into our house by 3:30ish. It'll be nice to be able to chill and hangout for a night too so there's no rushing around Friday.

Didn't really think of that. I like having Thursday night to relax personally.

I think I'll end up flying into Las Vegas a couple days early again and driving down on Thursday.

I've never had a problem checking into my hotel around noon, then heading straight to the festival. Not a lot of people checking out on that Friday so the rooms are already clean and available.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I have a bunch of questions, so I'll number for convenience.
1. Is Palm Springs the best place to stay?
2. How far away is it?
3. What is the best place to stay if it's not Palm Springs?
4. Is it better to fly in to San Diego than LA?
5. How does the camping compare to Bonnaroo? If it's the same, I'd just camp.
DMB • Chance • Chainsmokers
Indian Wells is the best place to stay in my opinion, balancing distance from the fest with cost. If you want the cheapest options possible then Palm Springs is the way to go. The camping is much nicer than Bonnaroo.

Stay in one of the annex room (across from the main resort) and you wouldn't even notice it being a gay resort.
