You can argue whether people’s opinions on kanye are valid all you want, but the fact is people have them and booking him as a headliner is risky. Perception is reality. They already put up with 100 “Phil Anshutz hates gay people” and now “sexual assault is the real headliner at Coachella articles,” which aren’t even totally unfair. I don’t see them putting Kanye at the poster and inviting more of that criticism.

Lmao those same people won’t boycott Kendrick who sits on a fuckin high horse while he promoted XXX’s album. XXX, the kid that laughed and bragged about almost killing a gay man and has multiple videos on the internet showing repeated patterns of abuse to not just his friends but his girlfriend as well.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Kendrick and think that was a dumb choice, but I would never support XXX because he’s an ACTUAL bad person.
I still support Kendrick and Kanye because they’re just making stupid choices. They aren’t violent criminals. People gotta pick the battles that matter.
I’m not familiar with XXX, and am not a Kendrick stan, but Kanye proclaiming support for a racist, fascist piece of shit is a battle that matters to me. Not to mention that he’s allowed himself to beome a talking point for the alt-right.
Oh god.. not this again. Piss off, he's not supporting Trump. How many times do Kim or Ye have to say that he likes the way Trump made it to president and achieved all these things but that there are a big amount of things he doesn't agree with what he does or stand for. It's not because you like some traits from a person that you like that person as a whole. I feel like in this day and age, you can't even disagree anymore with someone without putting them in a certain box (left and right) if some things don't match with yours.
The dude just wants to make America great again with love and respect instead of hate and all these other things the democrats or republicans are/were trying during the election or still even now. With putting that simple hat up, you're implying that you support and are creating a talking point for "the alt-right". Are you joking? So instead of seeing the bigger picture of what it says on the hat and trying to do/change something, you're seeing it as some category trait for someone who is clearly from the right.. and means you gotta shut em down even, because goddamn, they're from the right, they're evillll ! Who cares what they're ideas are..
Anyways, I can't see Kids See Ghosts at Coachella because I think Ye won't accept anything less than a headline spot for him or his side project with Cudi. Though, in the past we've seen Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre headline.. so, what do I know, right?

I think what makes it intriguing is that they have a ton of stuff together and the opportunity to have a ton of guests. Who knows. If we don’t get them in 2019 we will never get them. I don’t really see it happening, but it could be an awesome and unique set.

OK, but to imply that Coachella is reeling so much from people calling “sexual assault” a headliner that they won’t book Kanye seems odd to me.
Booking Kanye will sell fewer tickets than a lot of alternatives and invite a ton of bad publicity, bad publicity that builds on narratives already dogging the festival.
I’m honestly shocked people are even debating this.

Lol. Dead on impression of a mindless internet fanboy. Nicely done.

I feel these strong opinions of Kanye stated here are a good reason why it would be a bad idea to have him headline. I'd be highly disappointed if they made next year Coachella ft. G.O.O.D. Music. That being said, if Pusha T isn't there next year then fuck Paul Tollett's soul.

Internet forums are absolutely not representative of Coachella's audience anymore. Like not even close. A lot of people didn't like that Beyonce was there last year, but her fans showed up big time while haters found themselves elsewhere. Same thing would happen for Kanye. FYF he was a last minute replacement for Frank and on his day the place was covered in fresh Yeezus FYF merch.
Just stating that. I'm not debating Kanye anymore. If he's there then I'll be excited and ignore people. If he's not there then I'm still at Coachella listening to dope music.

Also I agree about Push
No, but facebook and twitter kids are their target demo and it's much worse there. Half the world has Kanye on hashtag mute and the other half will try and justify anything he says as free thinking. At least some nuance is seen on the board, its much rougher on traditional social media.

Half the world is a lot of people for Coachella though haha
Okay I'm done. Kanye discussions never go anywhere nice. People are divided and thats okay. Lets mozy on over to happy town.
Tchami x Malaa I think their tour just ended, but any chance they might get booked for Coachella? Would probably be a big act for Sahara.

Really meant half of his old fan base not half the world, and we already agreed he doesn't have Bey fandom so they aren't all coming to Coachella to see him. You seem to be incapable of having a constructive conversation about it though so I agree, lets change subjects.
Tchami x Malaa would be nice in the Sahara, but if their tour is already over I don't see them being booked together.

I was making a lighthearted joke so to ease out of the discussion man. I’ve just been trying to better myself lately and avoid arguments that don’t have much importance. I’ve lived a much happier life by picking the right battles. It’s music. Let’s enjoy what we like.

You clearly have no idea what’s going on in America if you think that it’s not a big deal for someone with Kanye’s proflie to wear a #MAGA hat or praise Donald Trump.
