Tbh, Thom would probably play Mojave à la Jamiroquai or New Order whilst Dua Lipa would prolly play Main/Outdoor. I'd see Thom being a dick and ask for a high billing (so like 4/5, now he's 6) but wouldn't mind playing in the Mojave.

Also nope, I don't really like NGHTMRE. I used tho, way back when he first started around 2/3 years ago. I just made that mock in like 10/15 minutes whithout thinking of where they'd play. I think in this case ZHU should play on Saturday as dance act next to YG in the Sahara and Bob Moses should play on Friday. Think that works better.. Also just realised that there's barely any rock/indie act on the first 2 lines behind the headliner on Friday lol.

Rufus du Sol I'd say is a guaranteed second liner, so bump them up, and I think Zhu would get second line too.
Why is everyone mocking LSD? Sia is still a pretty reclusive live performer and that single didn't really do much. Is everyone just so confident because of the Diplo relationship with GV?

Yeah, that's pretty much the only reason I billed them. Could be that Silk City with Mark Ronson gets booked instead of LSD but I'm sure Diplo will be there in some form there.

The only thing that's holding me back from giving him that position would be that I expect atleast a rock headliner this year, or atleast one with guitars.. And with Nicky Minaj and Rihana both having albums out this year and GV giving women more and more prime spots (which is totally fine btw), makes me think that there aren't much options left because both are similar to Gambino (even tho The Weeknd & Beyoncé are also kind of the same in some way), so it probably says nothing but still.

Assuming Gambino and JT are accurate, I just don’t see how they come up with headliners that aren’t overall disappointing. Unless there’s something totally massive booked as the third headliner, this will probably be objectively the worst set since 2013.

At this point, if a festival can get one headliner I'd see, that's a win. I'm more concerned with the Coachella undercard.
JT and Gambino are both pretty big headliners, so I wouldn’t expect the third headliner to be massive. Totally agree that it’s a underwhelming pair tho.

Not really concerned about the undercard, especially if both Thom and Aphex Twin materialize.
As far as headliners, subjectively they’re fine. Not a big fan but I’ll be very interested to see what Gambino does. But measuring Coachella against itself, they’re gonna be a little underwhelming.

I am not a rock fan, but I believe Coachella should somewhat stick to its rock roots and have 1 rock headliner or even a band that is a mix of genres such as Gorilaz

Frank was scheduled for quite a few fests. Not arguing talent here, but Gambino might just end up being the better festival grab even if only Coachella and ACL get him.
As for Gorillaz I’d say them moving their festival to LA pretty much means they aren’t doing Coachella.
