Disappointed to hear that about Cirez. I noticed it seemed like no1 saw him on this forum.
My crew saw him. We got in the Yuma around 9:40 and stayed until the end. We all enjoyed it quite a bit. Granted, that was my second time seeing Prydz in any fashion and the first was at a tiny club in Nola after his Voodoo set was cancelled. So this was a massive upgrade.

On the other end of the spectrum, I got there after Hopkins and left within 15 minutes. He's almost complete with his transformation to mindless Drumcode bangers.
On Gambino, it seemed like everyone I knew who was moderately familiar with his music (basically had listened beyond the big songs a few times) really enjoyed it. Definitely have to be in a certain mood for it but I thought it was a great show. I would say the interludes were sometimes really hard to hear if you're too far back, so try and get close to a speaker at least.

This was definitely one of our problems. We stupidly wound up immediately underneath a back speaker...worst possible sound quality. We should've gone to the speaker in the beer garden on the left of the main stage, grabbed a beer, watched from there with legit sound.

Basically did this, probably stuck it out at Cirez a little longer. Energy was so much higher at Hopkins and Gesaffelstein before, it was a bad transition. Everytime it felt like the house lights came all the way up, you could just see how wiped/uninterested everyone looked.
The biggest thing that makes it standout from the regular tour is the featured artists and songs. For the most part, the songs that she does on the Sweetener tour are pretty identical at Coachella.
According to Setlist.fm her arena shows have 29 tracks, her Coachella set was 23 songs plus the Nsync and Diddy tracks, so 25 songs...production/staging is exactly the same...

Oh god please don't tell me this.
The worst possible transformation.
Yeah it's been a disappointing trajectory. But I've seen him three times and it's been moving more and more this direction each time.

Yeah totally agree with this. Kaytra was the best thing going on for me but it was just a little too slow after Hopkins and Gesa. Enjoyed walking around though, and Ariana was a fun ending.
NME is reporting Ariana was paid 8M for 2 shows by Coachella...wow, good for her...
She essentially added two shows to her arena tour/production and got paid 8M for it...Scooter is a genius...
Unsurprising that there's a major premium for re-routing the biggest tour of the year and causing her to cancel/reschedule multiple other shows.
So unfathomably stupid in retrospect that they went up to the last minute planning on Kanye without even having a contract in place. What were they thinking? Even with a contract that would've been the biggest gamble of a headliner imaginable, after how his last tour ended / the last couple years he's had.
Anyway, not my money, and the festival was great this year.
I didn't understand the Gesa hype on here and after about 10 mins of that stream I was like yyyyyyyyup that's gonna rule. I feel like that'll be my burn-out peak for the weekend. Gonna be draggin' ass on Sunday but I'll get up one more time for that one.
I think everyone's gonna be feelin pretty good on Sunday if the forecast holds true. Nice temperature drop after 3 days (including Day 0) at or near triple digits. Gonna be hot.

well, I was waiting for the updated set times, but since those don't seem to be coming out anytime soon, let's make this official:
I think at this point it's not going to be feasible to hold a Thursday night campground meetup, unfortunately. However, I look forward to seeing all of you on Friday. Safe travels!
