it's pretty amusing to see people on the Osh sub-reddit freaking out over 1 artist. Lineup is already ruined guys, don't even bother releasing the other 100+ artists.

The wait until tuesday is gonna kill me. I wish they'd do that matching game or at least reveal one headliner.
Did they say it's coming out on Tuesday or are we assuming?
Assuming, looking at the last few years Its always been a tuesday. on instagram you can see last year they revealed the 1st artist and did the matching game thursday february 23rd. The lineup was released in full on tuesday february 28.

Apparently passes are still just $320 plus shipping, too. Pretty impressive if true
Its such great value, converted to USD its only $247. Also, according to the new app they just released, they'll be revealing some artists from the festival tomorrow, sat and sun at 12pm est each day.

App is only out for android so far it seems. Glad we'll get some artists tomorrow and throughout the weekend. Guess that's the 4 artists from 2 weeks back
Post Malone is on the verge of selling out COTA here in Austin (+12k seating) at +$85 for lawn tickets. This dud will be headlining everywhere...in comparison, Jack White lawn to are going for $45....

Not a big fan of Post Malone, but I'd rather laugh at a mediocre act than be put to sleep by a "good" one
Honestly, Post Malone can probably be second name on his day here.
Commercially, it's also a good name to get the kids excited. Too bad they didn't pair it with one or two names that would get people like us excited. I have heard from my friends who have gone that this festival trends extremely young.

I just looked at random Post Malone amphitheater dates and Ticketmaster and... Jesus Christ, y'all weren't kidding about how they are practically sold out.
Wonder whether 21 Savage's presence made a big difference.
Can’t wait until Tuesday? Download the Osheaga Play mobile app now and get ready because we’re gonna be leaking a bunch of the Osheaga 2018 lineup all weekend long via our mobile app. That’s right! As of NOON EST this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, just PRESS PLAY to hear music from each of our daily lineups on O-Audio!
People say both honestly. In the time before I was going to this fest I always heard people say oh-shea-ga. But when you hear from people or other locals you'll hear oh-she-ah-ga.
Here's the back story:
The official story, given on both the festival’s website and Wikipedia, is that Osheaga referred to the area now called Montreal, and that it was a name heard by the French explorer Jacques Cartier. As they headed downriver toward the Lachine Rapids in the fall of 1535, Cartier and his men are said to have begun waving their arms, and the surprised Mohawks reacted by calling the French “O she ha ga,” or “people of the shaking hands.” Cartier didn’t realize the Mohawks were talking about him; he thought they were saying “large rapids.” It’s a nice story, one that highlights cultural misunderstanding.
