Day 1 was great! I loved the layout of the festival, and the crowd was very chill. Best sets of the day were Carly Rae, Beck, and Mac Demarco.
Rex Orange County’s set was the only letdown. The crowd was too massive, and the sound wasn’t loud enough to hear him from where we were.
Read that their tour bus crashed so only their frontman made it so it was a solo acoustic set.
My group was in for the whole day, really like the layout. Getting close to some of the more popular shows was annoying with highschoolers pushing forward constantly.
Sunday was perfect! It was foggy for most of the day, setting up a really chill atmosphere. Kelela>Borns>Janelle>Chromeo>James Blake>late night Chromeo DJ set was a great run of shows.
Top 5 of the weekend: 1: Jamie xx 2. Carly Rae Jepsen 3. James Blake 4. Janelle Monae 5. Beck

Just looked at the daily schedule of this on a lark and wow, I almost wish I'd done this over Osheaga. Lots of crossover, but a few great acts on my bucket list (Beck, Perfume Genius, Jamie xx) and the comedy lineup looked fun as hell too. Maybe next year?

Just getting back and settling in, but I was definitely surprised how much fun this festival is. Great location, perfect weather, and layout. Musically, wasn’t my favorite festival I’ve ever been to, but it’s definitely my favorite of the city fests I’ve been to. Ill take being chilly vs being hot 100/100 times.
Ended up leaving early Sunday night during claptone, but had another solid day of music. Saturday was a top 5 all time festival day for me.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
The Cure/ Lady Gaga/ Travis Scott Skrillex/ Vampire Weekend/ A$AP Rocky
Doubt Travis is top 3. OSL is almost never the first festival to promote someone to top headliner status without precedent
Yeah except Hangout, Firefly, Okee, Osheaga Voodoo, ACL and Governers Ball already have. He was top line at Lolla and is rumored to headline Boston Calling. OSL would actually be one of the last fests to have him headline lol.

Decent chance I can attend OSL this year, especially since my main concert buddy just moved up to the Bay Area. I want The Cure to play this every year, and thought they'd finally do it this year do it with their large tour plans, but nope, they're in Europe the same weekend.
Looks like we can pencil in Death Cab for Cutie. Hollywood Bowl date on August 11 with no other August dates.
holy shit those eager beaver tickets sold out so fast
has to be a ploy to drum up demand right? they usually don't sell nearly as quickly
Don't think you're right on this one. I was able to pull a pair of tickets right as they went on sale, 10 minutes in, 20 minutes in, and even 30 minutes in on my first try. This is the slowest, not the quickest it's ever taken for Eagle Beavers to sell out.
