For anybody that’s done this in the past, do any of the artists typically do after party’s like some other city fests?
No. But if you're going and looking for something to do after the festival, go to MOTR Pub. They will almost certainly have bands playing, it has a good atmosphere, it's always free to get in and they have $1.50 beers. Acts like Strand of Oaks, Sinkane, and Mild High Club have played there in recent years.

As a prior resident of Ohio, this line suits a lot of people in Ohio for a young demographic of rock fans and music fans in general. I wouldn’t go back to Ohio for this but if I lived in Dayton still I’d go for the nolstalgic sake of Jack White, Blink, Incubus, Young the Giant, Coheed and Cambria, and also enjoy newer acts I love Royal Blood, The Front Bottoms, Sir Sly and Allen Rayman. Also my good friend from Ohio came down to travel too see me and go to Bonnaroo together in 2014. So round two of Jack White would be awesome to relive. But defiantly not an extrodary lineup to travel outside of Ohio and Indiana to go to.
Well said. Most of the bands you mentioned are the reasons I'll be making the trip. Incubus is my favorite band of all time, plus Young the Giant is always incredible live, and a favorite of mine as well. Some of the bands on the lineup this year make no sense at all (or just crap) but there will still be some solid sets to see for sure.

I remember there was one in downtown Cincinnati last year where Arkells played, but I've been going for several years and that's the only one I remember.
