Last year we got a hotel about 2 hours away. It was absolutely perfect though. We paid $38 for a room with 2 queen beds in it and it was very clean and nice! I actually think we will go that route again this year. We come from CT and obviously it's a long drive, but I think it's a lot less stressful just finding a place along the way. This way we dont HAVE to find that specific hotel or HAVE to keep driving when we're exausted because we have reservations.
If you do want to stay in a hotel in Manchester the night before, I agree, it's never too early to make reservations. But if you don't mind driving an hour our two the morning before, go for it! Especially if you are trying to spend as little money as possible.

I think those last few rooms went before I got a chance to call. The competition for hotels in Manchester is fierce! I'm really glad you posted that, though - it got me looking in the nick of time - there isn't much out there for Wednesday already. So thanks!!

No problem.. I called the Holiday Inn last year two days after Bonnaroo and they claimed they were already fully booked for 2008. (the week of bonnaroo) just to see if they had any i called and lucked out.. they did say they had "A FEW" room so maybe other people booked them after reading it here who knows ...
I am staying in Mrufreesboro again. This time I plan on getting there early so I can hook up with the Murfreesboro connection and hang out and drink and whatever for a little while. Last year we didn't arrive into Murfrees. until about 2am. Everyone had left the meet up place. Bummer. But I did check EVERY hotel in Manchester a few days ago and everything online was sold out. I was ok with that.
Greenleafe Inn Is still available from Expedia. I just checked it and am running upstairs to call hubby to see if he wants to stay there! Woohooo Thanks for the tip!

I called there too yesterday $139.00 but someone else said they got one there for $89.00
When I went online to expedia, it was 69 and change plus taxes totalling 80. Recheck it out Korvette. I was just on Expedia and thats the price they gave me. Hubby still wants to stay in Murfreesboro though so I didnt book and pay for the room

Hey Jizzo! Lastyear we got caught in a traffic jam in Toronto. Got through it but we ended up getting into Murfreesboro at 1am. This year we are actually leaving Canada on Tuesday. We will drive to approximately Kentucky, then do the rest of the drive on Wednesday morning. We plan on being rested and relaxed on Wednesday so we can plan a big party. And I have to hunt down a few items I could not find lastyear too easy at Roo...........We are now definitely staying in Murfreesboro this year, Phoned hubby at work and he said naaa, lets just go back to the same place. I wanna hook up with Troo also cuz we chatted alot online lastyear here on inforoo. Defintely think aobut staying in the boro.

We stayed in Murfreesboro the night before Roo, at the Doubletree. We got to hang out with Lewis Black and David Cross in the hotel's bar. It's a nice place, plenty of places to eat all around. It's a little pricey but nice. I booked a room there as soon as we got back from Bonnaroo.
"With a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever. Always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all of his favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he'll never know."
Last year I booked in at the Sleep Inn and it cost us nothing because we used the "Comfort points" that we save from hubby staying in Comfort Inn's all the time. We will definitely be staying at the same hotel if we can get in there. This year I believe we are going to try crossing at Buffalo for a change. We should be rolling into Murfreeesboro around noon on Wednesday. Anyone looking to hook up for a few drinks, We are definitely in!!
just booked my room at the greenleafe inn! expedia says $69 but i got mine on travelocity for $59! after taxes it is $67.30. looks like a nice place. but i am curious as to why ALL other hotels in m-ches are booked full but this one has rooms left. hmmm. oh well, i gots mine!
As everyone looks for rooms, don't forget Tullahoma. It is easy to access either the main entrance from the Highway or Bushy Branch Road from Tullahoma. Stayed in Tullahoma the last two years and have two rooms booked.
