It probably is just Thom. Why wouldn’t it be possible for RH and Em? Is there some beef I don’t know about
There was talk in another thread about how they are both #1 billing for festivals. So just wondering if possible for them to book two “number one’s” is all.

Ehhh I wouldn’t consider Em an undeniable number 1. He’s just been number 1 before. His album was a huge flop.

Last year was my first time and can’t wait to be back! Also i had wanted Jack White but don’t think he’ll be there since one of his last tour dates is in also Vegas and in August.

I feel like The Killers will headline, be their big hometown return after the success of their new album/tour. And it'll probably be the only show on this tour with the whole lineup taking part.
I'd also guess that The Weeknd, Arctic Monkeys, Jack White and Odesza will play.

Im someone who believes that while we all debate these semantically, there is no concrete rule about where people are placed of line ups, if "they're too big to book," ect. Anything can happen. Anyone can book anyone if the $$$ is right.
i know almost none of those acts. i dont lsiten to Blood Orange but seen him at a festival in a HL slot and really enjoyed it. give me Pell and Dckwrth for some nice indie hip hop.
Any veterans/alumni of this fest have any tips. I'm looking at booking a hotel with free cancellation as close as possible to the festival is that possible at a reasonable price or do you have any other tips

It's def possible man. I stayed on the strip but I'm sure it's even easier if you're looking to stay in the downtown area. Booking and Hotels.com both should have free cancellation options.

Cmack i know you’re a hangout alum like myself so I’ll try and give some insight man. Me and my best friend went last year for our first time and my first Vegas trip and are going back again this year.
By far one of the most fun, best atmosphere, and set ups for any fests I’ve been to so far. I think this fest is very underrated and can’t wait to be back. Also was the first time doing vip and very much worth it.
I will say as far as where to stay i recommended atleast for the fest portion staying downtown on Fremont St where the fest is. It’s cheaper and easier access walking distance to the fest then the strip. We stayed at the plaza last year just because it’s at the entrance of Fremont but also ended up being the hotel of the fest which was really cool. We’re looking at going back there or either golden nugget of another i can’t remember off the top off my head but had pre party show for capital city on top of the hotel by the pool that was really fun.
Also idk where you’re from or if you’ve been to Vegas but we stayed an extra day to stay on the strip this year we’re adding an extra day on top of that one to the strip. All around man this is a great time and highly recommend it!

I've booked through Priceline 4 times including this year while my friend booked us through otel(dot)com once. Stayed at Four Queens twice, El Cortez & Fremont Hotel once each, and now California Hotel & Casino this year. Right now the hotels in the downtown Fremont area are currently going for around $85-120/night. They were around $60-80/night just a couple months ago and it'll only continue to climb up. Some allow free cancellations, some don't. Some people do stay on the Strip during the festival and just uber/lyft back and forth each day (there's a dedicated pick up/drop off location right nearby the entrance/exits) but if you want the full experience, I'd suggest either stay on the Strip for a day or two before/after the festival and stay in the downtown area during the festival.
There are 3 ins and outs allowed per day so you can easily take a break, head back to your room, grab a non-overpriced beer or two, relax, and head back into the fest grounds. The latest you can enter back in is by 9pm each night (though I never had the urge to leave the grounds as there's so much to do and see and they also have an empty building that was formerly a hotel filled with art with the ac blasting so you can cool down there as well).

so me and cmack booked a room with free cancellation last night at El Cortez but there is apparently no pool? We are gonna look into the Golden Nugget today. I was in Vegas in November but spent all of my time drunk and gambling so itll be cool to be there for this fest and have time for some of the other things i wanted to do. I just hope the lineup comes through, im trying to be optimistic but lines suck the big one this year almost everywhere.
how is the crowd at the fest, like the vibe and avg age? I know there are food demos inside the gates but is anything else going on other then the music worth checking out? Lastly, what are the food and drink prices like?

I never have really got to meet up with peeps on the board would be cool to meet up with y’all there since i see y’all both post in a lot of the same fest groups as myself.
Also yeah one morning last year we went to have breakfast at the golden nugget and they’re pool area was so rad! It’s actually one of the reasons we’re looking into booking there this year. Plazas was really cool still on top of the hotel with all the painted hotels around too so we still might stay theee again if we don’t get a room at the golden nugget.
There was so much art stuff to check out at the fest and it’s such a huge area you really have so much to do at the fest without ever leaving it.
They had some awesome food vendors with great variety we ate something different each day. Also i will day drink and food prices are a little bit more then average fest prices but we just said owell it’s Vegas but everything we had was good.
There is a good bit of younger crowd ga. In vip it was a great mix of age also though everyone out there was very chill and nice while everyone seemed to be having a great time. Very awesome vibes all around at the fest and so much an awesome variety of people from all over the world we met.
Yeah lineups this year have me a little nervous I’m hoping this lineup is great again like last year but we regardless the fest is still awesome so we’ve already planned on going back.

Also the past 2 years has had a good bit of lineup crossover with Lolla so once that is announced i think we’ll have somewhat of an idea for this lineup.
Thanks for the info! I'm gonna book the nugget today and cancel the other one. Im gonna do something like 5 nights and then option for a a few extra days last minute elsewhere.

What is the cost of VUP and perks? Worth it.
I wanna say it was about $700. It gets you shades rest areas ac bathrooms and close to the main stages. It’s worth it to me just for being closer to the stage even if i was late getting to a set. But i think that will depend more on personal note for y’all. Also this fest i think takes in about 120k peeps i believe i read last year.
