damn, thats a long time to get left hanging, but krisp is pretty useless rn so probably won't get too far.
Them's the rules.
7) Disputes handled via poll. Upon confirming receipt of dispute request, a poll will be put up and run for six hours. Polls can run seven days a week but no poll will start before 9AM or after 9PM Eastern. Drafting will continue while the poll is running.

the pick was 20 hrs before the poll went up. its not in the rules, but there should be some kind of limit on how long after a pick it should go up or be off the table.

I posted the poll about a half hour after getting confirmation that the issue was still being disputed.
im just saying if the request for a poll comes a whole other day after, it should probably just be let go (the initial objection was not that long after the pick, but still)

I guess it's all relative. I mean, the dispute could come in an hour later and ten picks may have gone by or it could come a day later and only one may have come in. It's kind of a crapshoot to regulate. Especially with a few people on some different schedules. It bears paying attention to but I don't know that it is a problem that really needs fixing at this point.
Did we cut the draft time to twelve hours at some point last year or am I imagining that?
I think that you're imagining that. IIRC, there were discussions about it every once in a while but in the end it was so rare that someone went that long that it never became a thing.

FWIW, I don't have a vote in this but that's not going to stop me from chiming in:
I'm not a huge fan of changing rules in the middle of a game. I also don't think it's exactly fair for people who have jobs that don't allow them the opportunity to check Inforoo during their shift.
I'm anxious to get this thing moving, too, but at the end of the day I think that we should just be patient.
I should also mention that it might be a nice courtesy to preemptively pass your turn in the event that you're not going to be online for a while. If your turn is bypassed then you can always just pick the next time that you get around to popping back in. You can also assign a proxy if you don't think you'll be here for your pick.

I serve and bartend. I know what it's like to work all day with no breaks and not have time to dick around on Inforoo.
Still, there is something to be said for knowing when your pick is coming up and at least making plans for drafting and accommodating for the other people in the draft that are waiting on you. If I had something going on, I would give my pick/draft list to cdev or Maddog or Dave Maynar or someone. There are folks in this draft that so far have not been as considerate. I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to make the draft better and more efficient for the rest of us.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
