Kendrick is overrated as a performer. I love the guy and thought he was good both times I’ve seen him, but he skips too many words imo and isn’t super hype or anything. I think in terms of performance, Ye and Jay Z are light years ahead of any other rapper.
On songs like Backseat Freestyle, M.A.A.D City, or DNA that's definitely the case. But on more chill/groovy songs he definitely delivers. Like when I saw him perform For Free on the King Kunta Groove Sessions Tour he definitely killed it. I think even Jay and Ye can be hit or miss
The Groove Sessions seemed perfect for him but I didn’t see that show. I’m talking about his arena stuff.

Never seen any video's of Jay's shows, is he that much better than Kendrick tho?
Jay is a great performer, it’s why I made a move to get him. His voice projects so well, he raps every lyric perfectly, his production on the most recent tour was great and he controls the crowd like a fuckin G.

jay z was pretty lack luster at ACL last year def not on par with Kendrick the year before. id say in a hypothetical situation if the two played at the same time across the field from each other i'd go Kendrick. that said i've only seen them both twice.
From what I've heard the 'lets play the same MAAD city part 5 times with a rando from the crowd because it worked that one time' has died down, which is good.

I've seen Kanye four times and Jay Z only once. But I obsess a little too much over their live shows. I have a google drive of all Kanye's festival performances and a lot of his tours throughout the years. I've also seen Kendrick five times.

Last time Ye was gonna come here, I think he canceled. Some if y'all have seen Chance like 5x already when he only has come once (and canceled) in Belgium. There's def something with rappers and cancelling tours.. The Saint Pablo and Yeezus tour looked amazing, only stage wise already. Damn.
