That really seems like a reach to claim rights to an act because they are backing musicians on a solo artist's tour...
I honestly don't see how it's too much different than Phil Leshes friends being off the table. Lucious recorded with him on his most recent album, they're pretty much in his band.

Because he specifically drafted that act when he drafted them. In fact, he drafted "and Friends."

So if he would have said Roger waters with lucious at the beginning it would've been fine? That doesn't really make that much sense.
The main point was those guys are all backup musicians behind a solo artist. Like if Neil young was drafted and they didn't specify promise of the real they still should have had them because that's the band as is.

I think that the difference is that absolutely nobody is going to go "you know what, Lucius isn't with Roger Waters on this tour, I think I'll pass" but you can't say the same about Phil Lesh and Friends. Part of the draw of those shows is who he is touring with. Hell, piggy pablo didn't even know Lucius was involved before he saw them there and he wouldn't have thought to claim their rights.
Question about super jams... more often than not, super jams at Bonnaroo include some musicians that are not on the lineup of the festival itself. Are the musicians included in our superjams that aren’t on our actual lineups counted as FA picks?

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
A reminder to include your Superjams in with your UDFA.
Why if I can ask? As long as you have the list of free agents(including those in your superjams), doesn’t that cover everything? Superjams are something I can see tweaking up until poster submission.

The short answer is because someone might be inclined to put together a superjam that ends up representing an ineligible act.

Aren’t members of an ineligible act also undraftable by default if they don’t have a current solo project?
