Curious - since the "trade rights" proposal is still in limbo (8 for, 7 against), this means that the rights to an individual member cannot be traded at this point, correct? It would have to wait until we have the votes.

Proposal 2: Once an act has been drafted, the rights to a member of that act are available via trade. If the traded individual is part of another act then that act would still need to be selected. (If the traded individual is being billed as a solo artist then no further action is needed.)

There's no way rights should be tradable if there are still draftable acts that could over ride them.
What? You would be trading for the rights to a member of an already drafted act. This would allow you to subsequently draft an act that the member was in or use them solo.
I think if it passed the only way it would make sense is if I wanted to go trade the National to someone I would have to draft them and then trade them.

i really don't get why people would be against it, all it would be doing is giving us more freedom in trades.
and tbh we've handled every dispute in here pretty well. a lot better than last year for sure. im sure any speed bumps that we ran into we could handle.

Because why would I draft Tool, if Maynard could be at your festival under a different band of his?
That'd be completely 100% your decision if you wanted to allow that to happen, since you control the rights.

I feel like people are against the rights thing because it's too much of an advantage. If I had to draft the national to trade them it seems like it would make it a little more fair.
I was thinking I might get to pick tonight but I guess I will go to bed. I need to think on the vote thing also. I feel like I had a legit reason to vote no, the more I think on it. If I am up and not on, sang_xcx knows my picks and can post for me. Tomorrow might be crazy again. Hopefully the power doesn't go out and then the phones and servers go out. That would be nice.
