So I have about 3-4 cars of people I'm caravaning with now. I'm leaving Montgomery and meeting up with some Tuscaloosa people and then we'll make our way to Manchester. Pobably leaving Wednesday, so if anywayone wants to follow us and caravan, just let me know. The real party will be in our camp!
I'd pretty much give up on the caravan thing (NOT to be a party pooper or anything.... ) But...it's mass chaos....and anything beyond three cars is gonna be REAL hard to swing to keep together in that kinda crap....esp leaving at diff times from diff places....even if you manage to GET to Manchester together once you get in the traffic you'll likely get seperated.....
Prob be best to just set a time/place Thurs night or Fri for a meetup AFTER everyone gets there.....course there's ALWAYS the Brunch on Friday morning that I know we all will be going to ;D But something special for the Bama folk maybe Friday night.....since some peeps won't get in till later on Thurs sounds like....
And I'll be happy to put together a text/phone list and coordinate...I did it for VooDoo....and sorta for Jazz Fest...LOL! Even tho there weren't that many of us that went this year Or if someone else is already doing it let me know and I'll shoot you mine......

I see you already have a lot of people, but I'm coming from Alabama too and this is my first year, I'm a lil freaked out cause it looks like I'm gonna be on my own. I had a group of friends that were supposed to be caravaning with me but they're going to Rothbury instead. Got room for one more, at least at the camp? (I'm near Birmingham).

Hey call me J, Im from a student from auburn and i think the bama caravan is a good idea. my first post or whatever but this one got me off lurking and into getting a account. anyways i currently live in Madison (Right by hunstville, the suburbs). left last year at 1030am thursday and made it to manchester in 1 hour 15 minutes right onto the overpass taking the 231 55/50 route waited bout 2 hours. so camping by 3pm minimum. Anyways A great place to meet would be right of I565 at the walmart( i live like 2 minutes away). You can get right onto the interstate in like 5 minutes then hit the route from there. I think if we could get this organized it would be great. If you want me to actually put this together as a meet up point i would be glad to do so. regardless there doesn't need to be stragglers rolling in 2 hours late from a set meet up point time. it needs to be organized haha. sorry for the long post but it would be extremely exciting to get this thing together and going. Alabama and auburn can live toghter in harmony for a weekend haha. Bonnaroo!!! Let me know if yall want to do this. If this would be to disorganized, AKA the "large caravan" we can at least offer some of the college age/ hunstvegas/ madison locals could meet up and do this caravan.
