I might be in for a Saturday pass. I heard last year there were issues with letting the old farts bring in chairs and blankets which made it really difficult to get near the main stage. Hopefully they find a reasonable solution.

On the FAQ section it says "designated areas only" for blankets and chairs. Hopefully they enforce it.
Great musical lineup (one of my favorites of the year), and though I haven't been to L.A. in 30 years, that looks like a pretty solid food lineup based on the names only. Clicking on the food program, this is fucking beautiful (for a rock fest). I remembered from researching it last year that they were putting serious effort into their culinary offerings as well.

"First year always has its challenges. We’ve heard your feedback and have made improvements to the layout, most notably the addition of ‘No Blanket and Chair’ areas by both outdoor stages. Check out our updated map for new information"

As someone who lives in LA and likes to eat, I can confirm this is an excellent lineup. Jon & Vinny's is an excellent Italian spot in Hollywood that added a special pizza for Kanye on the menu cuz he kept on coming in and requesting it special, so they just added it lol. I just went to Hatchet Hall for dinner two weekends ago and it was fantastic.
They're doing a good job targeting the late 30 to early 50s crowd here.
I love the concept here -- a music festival catering to Baby Boomers and Gen X'ers, with an appealing mix of classic rock icons, new wave legends, newer Americana artists, jazz, and Jeff Goldblum.
I've wanted to see powerpop legend Dwight Twilley for 40 years and it's amazing that he's in this lineup. This lineup is extremely well booked/curated.

More like late 30's to early 70's. Anyone in their mid-late teens at the height of 70's classic rock and the birth of the punk/new wave scenes is now within a couple of years of 60.

ugh sounds like ACL. Fuckin' olds.
Baby Boomers are hitting their senior years left and right, and we haven't stopped loving rock and roll. We're here to harsh your mellow and kill your buzz at as many festivals as possible.

Do people actively like Robert Plant & SSS? They always struck me as a crappy vanity project but maybe they’re just not for me.
I like them. I like seeing a classic rock megastar who's legitimately interested in exploring new areas of music, and I think the band pulls it off pretty well live.
N.Miss all Stars/pharaoh > shakey > kamasi > hurray for the riff Raff > pretenders > Margo price > jack white > Gomez > Neil young.
Shoot me a pm if you wanna meet up for a beer.
I have two day passes, not going Sunday if someone wants them shoot me a pm. FredWhereispassionpit
I'll be going Saturday for sure and probably Sunday! I'll pm you about meeting up. I just found out I'm going so I don't have much planned, but my must-sees are: Neil Young, Jack White, Belle & Sebastian, Kamasi, Robert Plant, Aaron Neville.
Really enjoyed the Pretenders, Jack White, and Neil Young + PoTR were really awesome. Crossed paths with PT at Milk Carton Kids. Really cool and fun festival.
