I haven't been to Roo the last couple of years and saw on the website that car camping sites were listed as being 20x20 this year. This seems bigger than I remember in the past but then again they weren't charging a fee for car passes back then either. Have the sites gotten bigger with the fee being charged? Were they larger last year? Just starting to plan out gear for this year and would appreciate any help. Thanks.
Good catch! Now I’m curious too. Our spots in 2016 were the biggest we’ve had, but I don’t remember seeing a specific size estimate like that listed.
Funny, mine in 2016 was about the smallest I've had. I was happy to be in Pod 2 for the 4th time, but I was only allotted the length of my tiny car by about 10 feet. Gave it to the neighbors (who thanked me by leaving beer cans on my car) and went to Tent Only anyway, but it seemed extra tiny.
It seems pretty crumby that folks who drive giant long-bed crew cab pickups or Suburbans (nothing against them or their trucks) get thanked with way more space than folks who carpool in greener little cars, and some rows are waaay wider than others. They made us park so close together, nearly bumper to bumper, that it was no fun even getting stuff out of the trunk. Kinda silly when there's plenty of space to go around on the farm. Didn't make it last year, sadly, so I can't comment on 2017.
