Relatively easy get for me for The National at MSG, ticket price wasn't too bad although it might have been slimmer pickings if I didn't have access to AMEX preferred, as my original target in Sec 115 was all platinum at $180 more, when it mostly usually isn't Platinum.
11/28 Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark) 12/4 Interpol 12/14 LCD Soundsystem 12/31 Billy Joel 1/25 The Killers (Las Vegas) 2/12 Jack White 2/25 Father John Misty 3/6 Inhaler 4/10 Franz Ferdinand 4/17 Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 5/15 Amyl & the Sniffers 5/18 Fontaines D.C. 9/1 Oasis
Yeah, we snagged a couple in section 120. I'm going to keep an eye on this one, though - I'd really love to upgrade to GA if at all possible.
No intention for GA for me (creaky knees mean I don't really do it anymore except if I have no choice or sometimes for U2 ), so I'll be good with my Sec 119 especially since it is seat 1.

That was why I didn't try for GA for Weyes Blood/Phoenix/Beck - no way I'd be able to stand through all three artists without a break. But, for The National, I think I could tough it out.
Madonna added shows for December 13 and 14 at Barclays (she's pretty much all in with LiveNation, so would not have happened if Barclays were still SeatGeek, I bet). Think I will stick with what I have though.

Bit the bullet and bought some GA for The National on the secondary. Paid a bit more but I had such FOMO watching The 1975 from seats (even if it was the first section on the side) that I don't think I can do MSG again unless I'm up near the front (yes, I'm a spoiled brat).
Section 107, 106 & 118 are available for Beck/Phoenix now. They seemed to have been sold out during the original presale at 10am. Or I guess not up for sale at that time. I’m a little annoyed.
Dave Matthews Band playing Forest Hills on 6/9 which seems...slightly small for them? Busy weekend for Queens with Gov Ball (though probably minimal if at all crossover with audiences).
They're also doing a night at Jones Beach. I'm not a fan of DMB but I'm glad artists are finally including Forest Hills as part of their ampitheater tours. Jones Beach is NOT NYC people!
Fall Out Boy also included a shot of Forest Hills in a teaser video posted on the Metro's IG so face to say that tour is coming there. Rumored opener is Bring Me The Horizon.
The National at @msg looks to be selling decently well. Floor and lower bowl sold out and a decent number of tickets in the upper bowl sold as well. Beck/Phoenix looks to be selling pretty poorly.
Maybe there is more of an overlap between their bases and the Arctic Monkeys' than people thought? That's why I'm not going even though I like both of them, will be at AM. Also Phoenix was just through here not long ago.

So my buddy met Danny Carey the other day and he let some interesting info slip. TOOL is going back on tour this fall. And NY might be their first stop. He wasn’t 100% sure whether or not it’s MSG or Barclays tho. But I guess stay tuned.

Didn’t realize AM was the same day. I’m sure that’s hurting. It also just seems like the tour is selling poorly everywhere.

After seeing how poorly Alt J/Portugal the Man sold at MSG last year, I figured the Beck/Phoenix show would also struggle. Especially at those wild prices.
All four of those bands are perfect for Radio City (or any local 6k venue). But two 6k drawing artists doesnt necessarily equal 12k tickets sold if their fanbases cross over too much.

Exactly. Too much fanbase crossover, and prices too high. I'm definitely going to hit up the LA show, but I see how low demand is, so i'm going to hold off and buy a cheap ticket on StubHub week of the show, which is only further contributing to the low demand. It's a negative feedback loop.

I knew I was going to feel dumb for buying those Beck/Phoenix tickets firsthand.

Very possible not enough tickets have been purchased to have a soft secondary market. haha
For those who are more familiar with late show times in NYC, is there any general rule for how late they run? Debating doing Overmono on April 8, and it starts (or doors open, unsure which) at 10. I assume the show would be done between 1 and 2 am - I'm trying to see if I can time it so that I can take the 2:40am Amtrak back to Boston instead of buying lodging in the city
