My legit guess is The War On Drugs. They're playing around NYC at Stone Pony and in Bethel, NY and seem like a perfect fit for the venue with strong opening support.
Yeah, taking a pass on The Strokes this time, I've gotten coherent Julian the past couple of times and don't want to push my luck, lol. Plus if I hit FHS for a fifth time this summer (not to mention Citi Field once) I will have to move back to Queens, lol.

Not sure where everyone is coming from as it pertains to Forest Hills but if you can somehow make it work with the LIRR vs the subway, I've found that method to much more enjoyable.

tbh if LCD does a residency again I’ll probably come see that. but since last year’s only happened because of the 2021 fiasco I don’t wanna bet on this being a yearly occurrence.
What shows are you guys eyeing for Sep-Dec this year? Looking like I’ll be back in NY for a bit then.
Hoping (but not counting on) Chems announcing a NY show around then, they have a gap in between the euro festival season and Fall UK arena dates. Other than that we'll just see

Yeah, weirdly, my current calendar stops cold on Sept. 29 (after a very active month). We're going to keep an eye on the secondhand market for Depeche Mode's October show at Barclays, but I'm not hugely optimistic.
Also hoping that "TBA" slot at Forest Hills is something great in the fall - a return engagement by MMJ, for example. But we'll see.

Nice, thanks guys. In addition to what’s mentioned, I’m gonna keep an eye on Arctic Monkeys/Fontaines DC at Forest Hills, Death Grips at BK Steel, Japanese Breakfast at Radio City, and Nick Cave at the Beacon. A Blur, Underworld, Aphex, Pulp, or Chems date would be a nice surprise.

I don’t think the 2022 residency only happened because of the 2021 cancellations. They made it through almost the entire run in 2021. They did 2022 because they wanted to do it. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if it happened again this year.

From NYC - very poky and crowded train from Penn Station, it's almost two hours (need to switch at Long Branch), and then a 25-30 minute walk from the station to the festival site. I'd only do it again if there was a fantastic lineup, and only for one day.
